Did everybody have a great Christmas?   What was your favorite moment?  What was your favorite gift?

Our Christmas was great.  We did a lot of running around, but we were able to see everybody that we wanted to see.  I think my favorite moment was when Julia looked at me and said.  "Merry Christmas to all of my family.  Christmas is so much fun."   It means we are making these memories special to her.  As for a favorite gift..that is actually a hard one.  I really like my vintage coffee perkulater from my mil.  Dh bought me a beautiful gold and diamond bracelet.  Very pretty!  He also bought me one of those stand up jewelry boxes that I had been needing.  I received a lot of his grandmother's jewelry after she passed, and wanted a safe place for everything.  I did get a lot of nice things from the kids and the rest of my family also.  :)

Christmas Day was good aside from not feeling well. Turns out DayQuil doesn't work for me. Once I discovered some Advil Cold & Sinus still in the medicine cabinet and took a dose around suppertime, I felt much better and wanted to tackle the dishes right away! Crazy, eh? And I love the Doctor Who disappearing Tardis mug Hubby got me. :)

Boxing Day was fun, too. I took the boys to my parents' place (and stocked up on the Advil cold medicine along the way so I wouldn't be sniffling and/or moaning while visiting LOL). We were the first ones there, so the boys got to play and relax a little before it got noisy. ;)

Sis #2 and all four boys came, along with Sis #2's boyfriend (since she apparently doesn't like being single, but that's a discussion for another day, hee hee). We had a yummy lunch, including Mum's turkey soup, and opened presents together.

I was going to leave around 2:30 but Sis #1 phoned to say she was on the way, so we stayed around an hour later than planned and I got to chat with her a bit amongst the hubbub. ;) Then home to relaxing, playing a little and leftovers for supper. Good day!

Best present from my side of the family is probably the Mr. Men Christmas set that Sis #3 sent - five Christmas stories, paper ornaments, stickers, card and a neat box for it all. That's going to go in one Christmas bin to take out with the nativity sets at the start of each December! The card may be saved as a souvenir or sent to Sis #3...

Christmas was nice here :) The kiddos had a blast and were so excited about their Santa gifts (lego batman 2 for playstation for lijah and password journal for peanut were the main ones). Hubby and I usually don't do presents but I got him a video game on black friday and was so excited that I was going to have a surprise gift for him. Well, he surprised me even bigger with an Xbox Kinect. I've loved those since they came out but never dreamed of having one so it was a huge surprise. I feel guilty about getting something so unnecessary but it's ridiculously fun and a good way to get some calorie burn while i work myself up to going back to the gym lol. Sadly, my calves have been cramped for two days since i'm apparently out of shape already from my library job lol
