The lady I planned on babysitting for on the 20th called me yesterday to ask if I could start today instead.

I'm praying for you too! Have a great day!! I just had to stop baby--sitting last week. Everyone knows my transplant needs & my illnesses. It was worse than I knew! The little boy darted out on the sidewalk but I almost had a heart attack & had to run & grab his shirt. Then I pickedd him up & carried about 40 steps. That was enough to put me out with one of those "cardiac episodes" that have cropped up. Before that it was seizures. AT least I know for sure before I have one!

Sorry Ladies if my frankness seems annoying. I'd hate to be an aggravation on a board I love so much! I am very blessed. I have a better than average life I think but depression is evil & I need to shift my focus back tight to the Lord.

Christine, your frankness is not annoying at all. I will be keeping you in my prayers, I'm sorry you had to stop babysitting.

It's going fairly well today but I'm definitely tired. Gabe has been very cranky, I can't tell if it's from the transition to having someone else over or if it's his ears. Always so hard to tell! I think it's more likely the transition though because he's been happy a lot of the time too. The little girl is a lot of fun, very imaginative. I had forgotten what it was like to watch someone a bit older. Gabe still doesn't talk much so while we have imaginative play it's not quite the same thing. They are getting along well except when J doesn't want to play by herself and Gabe doesn't get it. He's just used to jumping in there with anyone and doesn't quite get the concept of 'leave me alone' yet lol.

Hoping to figure out our carseat situation by next week so that we can attend the mom's group at our church still, I wasn't able to go today. Need to borrow my MIL's spare seat for Gabe and then try to install it. There's not a lot of room in the 3rd row seat for one. I'm going to try to figure out how to make it work, though, might need some adjusting. Actually I might need to turn Gabe around to do it. Hes' still RFing and I *think* the only way to get a carseat in the 3rd row is to turn him around and pull his seat forward. I don't know if I'm ready to turn him but I don't want to be 'trapped' at the house, either. Especially if it's a nice day and we want to go to the park or something.

Hope it goes well for you, Leah! At least it's already mid-week and you can look forward to the weekend for more rest.

My mum's had a couple vertigo episodes lately so I don't know if she'd be comfortable watching my boys without my dad present. It's good for you to focus on your health now and hopefully you'll be back to babysitting after transplant!

Praying for you and also sending hugs to fend off depression. Keep your eyes on the Lord, sister!

Hope things have been going well since your update. How long do you have the extra girl each day that you watch her?

I'm sure you'll figure out the seats so you aren't trapped. There haven't been recommendations here about RFing till 2, so Ben's been forward since it was legal here (1 yr) and it seems to work a lot better for the times that we use the truck for family outings. (Usually just the car so we don't have to move the seats a lot.)

Kudos for helping another family out and earning some extra money! I haven't had the confidence yet, but I'm sure if I could figure out car seat and stroller issues, I could handle it if I wanted to. ;)
