I'm sorry, Tara. I did read your message and I'd noticed the Add Tag but keep forgetting to try it out. Maybe for messages like your original one, I would decide on a tag like "slow ivillage" and at a later date I could see every time someone complained about the site being slow.

I've just recently been using tags on my blog. Every time I post about NaNoWriMo, I use the tag "nano" and then anyone should be able to search for all my posts about this crazy writing challenge.

BTW, the only thing I usually find slow about the message boards is siggy loading. Tonight I've turned them off in the hopes of getting caught up a bit faster since the pages will load quickly...

It's ok, I was jus being silly. Just happy it's not just my computer but sounds like a site issue. I turned off sigs tonight too while catching up in LTP. It did seem to help :)

Interesting on the tags... I think, lol. Too tired to make total sense of it at the moment.

I'm sorry that you're still running into problems and I'm sorry I'm just now seeing your post. Anyone can PM me or nudge Lindy to email me and I'll be glad to try to answer your questions or concerns.

I think we've succeeded in fixing most of the slowness issues but we are still seeing some on an individual basis that we should be able to correct. If you could supply the following information (or as much as you can) it would help us, help you.

Browser type/version?

Operating system?

Connection type/ISP?

Ad blocker?

Viewing signatures?

Day/time?

Does the slowness appear to happen constantly or does it come and go?

Board URL where slowness occurred

What were you attempting to do when you encountered slowness (posting, reading a message, etc.):

Approximately how long (in seconds) does it take to load -- from the time you initiate an action (such as clicking on a link) to the time you feel the page has loaded or you are able to interact with the page:

Do you notice any specific component or server not loading?

If you blog, I'm sure you're familiar with 'tags' and we've added that option here. You can tag your own posts as you post -
