January Chat Thread Part 1

I called this one chat thread because I wasn't sure if we wanted to continue the ltp tradition with the wonky time code issues.  So if you guys vote to still do ltp, I'll just edit the thread title :)

How was everyone's first day of the new year?  I got to stay in bed crazy late so that was a nice change since daddy had kiddo patrol.  And they were actually pretty well behaved :)

If you didn't see my fb post on peanut, she's now sleeping in her own bed all night.  Kind of bittersweet since it's the whole growning older thing but it;s hilarious that she's staying in her bed because she has a soccer ball to snuggle.  Odd little kid.

When I'm finally done with the photos, I have some Linux software updates. I didn't realise that I needed to run a separate program from the software manager that lets me add programs or uninstall, so now I have to catch up with my updates! One will require a reboot, though, so I'm waiting until it's convenient. Maybe tomorrow. ;)

We watched The Bourne Legacy tonight. The movie needed less set-up and more action, but there were a few good scenes that live up to the rest of the series.

Finally got the photos done last night and set the updates to start. This morning there was no network connection. Hopefully just a temporary thing, but I've been in Windows today so I wouldn't have to think too hard about fixing it. ;)

We're becoming quite the regular attendees at church. Four weeks in a row or more! ;) Today was Communion Sunday and the message was from Phillipians 2. The boys enjoyed their Sunday school time as well, and came home with Thomas wooden tracks and trains from a nice mother whose kids have outgrown them. We definitely have enough train tracks now with three separate sets!

I heard today at church that one of our neighbours died yesterday. He and his wife used to attend (which I learned recently from the old church directory) so my pastor is leading the service. I made an extra zucchini loaf this afternoon to take across the street, maybe tomorrow morning. I should ask the pastor's wife if there's anything else I can provide.

After the loaves were done in the oven, I made some meatloaf. Smells good. :) Should check if the potatoes are ready for mashing. Meanwhile the guys of the house are busy watching the A-Team pilot episode. (The boys suggested the show when I loaded up Netflix, but Hubby hadn't seen the first 13 episodes we'd already watched, so why not start again?)

Hi all!!!

Cindy--i hope that your headache is long gone by now :(  I'm sorry that you were battling it during the party and that it stuck around the next day

Darcy--ouch to the random boo-boos for your hubby.  Grumpy dh's are no fun at all

Becca--you are always so super busy and i feel like a bum when i read all that you've done :p I hope that you get the computer stuff/photo uploading thing sorted soon though

I forget who made the year long christmas tree reference but :p to them and an encouraging fist pump to the one who might be cool enough to leave up their tree for a whole year *giggle*

Ugh--i've had pre-af symptoms for a while here and it's making me crazy. Crampiness and swollen girls and moodiness and then no af. Grrrr. I have a follow up with the dr on the 23rd so i'll ask if i could be adjusting to the new mirena. I also have no motivation/focus and that's not helpful while i have a huge to-do list that i really need to tackle...ugh
