January Chat Thread Part 1

I called this one chat thread because I wasn't sure if we wanted to continue the ltp tradition with the wonky time code issues.  So if you guys vote to still do ltp, I'll just edit the thread title :)

How was everyone's first day of the new year?  I got to stay in bed crazy late so that was a nice change since daddy had kiddo patrol.  And they were actually pretty well behaved :)

If you didn't see my fb post on peanut, she's now sleeping in her own bed all night.  Kind of bittersweet since it's the whole growning older thing but it;s hilarious that she's staying in her bed because she has a soccer ball to snuggle.  Odd little kid.

Cindy - Sending hugs for poor JJ! I hope the day at home helped. Glad it gave you time to catch up at home!

Darcy - I'm sorry most of your day didn't go well. Hope you solved the dessert dilemma and tomorrow is way better!

Lindy - I'm glad the scale is being nicer to you! Hope things even out soon.

It didn't snow much overnight, so after Tim was off to school and I had cleared the driveway, Ben and I went for groceries. We did most of the shopping at the store in the mall (even though it has less brand selection than I'd like) and then went to Wal-Mart for a few things, including new PJs for Ben. Saw one of my sign-language buddies and gave her a ride to the mall. (She would have waited an hour for the bus otherwise. Yikes!)

We got home for an early lunch (mini pizzas, tsk tsk) and I had time for more snow clearing (fallen from the metal roof) plus I vacuumed the car. It's getting a new muffler tomorrow, so why not use that as an excuse to clean up? ;)

The boys coloured after snacktime and I got the recyclables ready for the curb pickup tomorrow. Supper was pork chops, potatoes and corn. Yum yum!

I have tutoring tomorrow morning, but it'll be a bit different because we're going to *her* house this time. Hopefully Ben will do well. I was thinking of taking the toy backpack we usually have at church with us, but also adding in a school exercise book and pencil so Ben can play around and pretend he's a bigger kid. ;)

I'm glad that you were able to help someone out with a ride :) The backpack idea sounds good--i hope that tutoring goes well :)

Work went well today. I had a meeting for the children's dept at the headquarters library and everyone was nice. I was a bit nervous since i'm new but it was actually kind of fun. Then i went to the library to work the last 2 hours we were open. Once i got home i played some kinect so that was fun :) Now i'm about to head to bed so i can get up and go to the gym.

Darcy - Sorry you woke up to dirty dishes. That aggravates me when that happens. I came home after church to a dirty kitchen. No fun! Lindy - My scale has gone up as well. I am back on MFP and it seems to be heading the correct way now.
