There's no immediate need to get out of the house today, so we had a morning without a real schedule. It's been mostly relaxing, though the boys fought more than I would like...
We'll probably want to get some groceries tomorrow. Unless my mum prefers us to visit this week over next, we'll probably just be close to home. Time outside if the weather doesn't get yucky, cleaning inside and maybe some board games and a movie in there too. Might as well take advantage of spring break to have some fun at home. (The library has some spring-break activities for 6-12 yr olds, but as far as I know, no one in the area seemed to think about the preschoolers whose normal playgroups are also on break. Shame on them! ;) )
It's the same here. There are all kinds of reading times and playgroups for the little ones when school is in session. Vacations arrive, and the little ones are left out :(
Julia is old enough for most of the fun things at the library now. JJ still is not, but he would rather just run around anyways. I can't wait for park weather :)
I hear you! I'm excited for the parks here to open. The closest to home added a cute treehouse/nature themed piece of equipment last year and the boys love it. Steps, slides, etc. If we go farther to one down the hill, there are two of those with different themes, plus swings. And that's the park with the outdoor fitness equipment, so I'm looking forward to possibly having the boys do their thing while I get a little workout. (There's enough distance between the fitness equipment and the kids' stuff that they might follow me and hang out there, but that would be okay too, just means I might do short bursts of working out because they get bored. LOL)
Today I have to babysit from 8 to 4:15.
