Those on facebook have heard the beginning of this story - I will recap briefly: DH's stepsister gave us some old baby girl clothes.

Ugh, that would be annoying!

I think FIL needs ego boosts. Maybe MIL, too, or she's just used to asking a bazillion times whether you like a gift - by the time they're satisfied, it doesn't feel like a gift, more like a reminder that they spent time and money on you. And they go way overboard, so Hubby stresses about his birthday and Christmas instead of enjoying them. (In fact, this year he specifically requested that we don't celebrate Father's Day or his birthday. No gifts, no big deal. It makes me sad because we do appreciate him.)

I'll be praying for your MIL. She does need activities that keep her brain active, but she also needs to understand that she's loved and not force the issue.

I hope someone just trashes the clothes because I don't think there's any hope for them now!

Thanks for understanding ladies!

I think there was another problem besides cat pee.

I'm sorry Cathy, that sounds very frustrating. I will be praying for your MIL.

Oh Cathy! (((HUGS))) Sorry to hear about your MIL drama. She sounds like a real piece of work, this one you've got. I have the passive agressive (aggravating) attitudes all of the time. But its probably harder since she LIVES with us!!! Long, sad story. I'll be praying for your patience &

Um, yes, we still could use some clothes. Like I said, I have all of Andrew's clothes, but no girl clothes...

I could send you some things. Anything in particular? And I promise my stuff has not been cat peed on nor has it been stored in a flooded basement :-)

Actually, a few small things (newborn/3 mo) might be good since I probably won't get out of the house much in that first month or two.
