Aww, that could be a bittersweet milestone for you. I think my mum was excited, while I was embarrassed about all the hygiene products she was showing me. ;) She tried to make things a lot more open for me and my sisters because in her teens, it was all hush-hush, hidden supplies and women didn't talk about it at all...
I am still in complete denial that it may happen anytime soon in our house ;)

I'm hoping my girls will be like me...I was almost 14 before I got mine. It was a bit awkward for me b/c ALL of my friends had already gone through it, but I was glad to put it off for a while, the way they talked...
