New month so I'm starting a new thread....

Happy belated birthday to Lijah and Peanut! I missed those two. Sorry about that.

Anyway, went fishing on the river today and turned myself into a lobster. My chest has never been burnt like this before. Ugh...at least it doesn't hurt yet. :smileywink: I need to get caught up on some laundry tonight and try to get some good sleep. Sleep isn't my friend lately....it is avoiding me. But I should probably get my butt off the computer right now and fold this basket of towels.

Chat with you all probably on Monday.

The parent-teacher meeting was quick and easy. No worries about Hubby having to rush to his work meeting. Yay! I'm used to taking the boys with me everywhere, so it was nice to get the quick walk to myself. :smileywink:

Then we packed snacks, dealt with bathroom breaks and headed over to the mall. I finally watched the video on Good Morning Girls about Bible study tips and decided I wanted a photo album for Bible verses. The index cards are small, but I kinda like that they had coloured ones 'cause I'll try to do themes for the colours, at least to start. Maybe pick out verses about family and motherhood, for example, and assign a colour.

We also did a tiny bit of grocery shopping while at the mall, then our banking.

And then we picked up my engagement ring! Hooray! I had taken a few weeks to get it to the jeweler's for repair, then thought they were going to call me. When I realised they were probably not going to do it, I was too busy to drop by... Finally, we got there and the cost was exactly as quoted, so I'm happy with the service.

We had snacked in the car, but I was getting tired by 11. We still had to visit another bank and check our mailbox. Still no book from Tyndale. :smileysad: I'm waiting for a free devotional Bible. Seems weird that I'll be reviewing a Bible, but I'm also very excited about getting it!

We used up spaghetti for lunch and that was messy, so I got the boys in the bath afterwards. Now I don't have to worry about not having time before tonight's movie, and their hair won't be too messy to start the weekend. (Tim needs his washed every couple days to keep it in line.)

Dishes done and laundry in the dryer, though I just discovered a couple small spots on my shirt - so busy making sure the boys' shirts were cleaned that I missed looking at my own... I'll go put some Resolve on it, then give it a soak or wash.

If I can get off the couch. Maybe I do need more caffeine...

There's a free ebook I was really excited to see today on Books on the Knob: All Roads Lead to Jane. I'm a sucker for anything related to Jane Austen!

Oh, and I read yesterday that Kobo's going to have a new model coming out with a light, as B&N has done and Amazon is also releasing. Hubby and I had talked a bit about the differences between Nook and Kobo readers after I bought him a Kobo. I'm considering going with Kobo when my Nook is on its last legs. I still love my Nook, but Kobo is easier to get in Canada... I wonder what happens to my B&N library if I switch, though. Will have to pester B&N about that.

It was a very crazy afternoon. They were all good though, especially when I broke out balloons to play with. :smileyhappy:

Oh no to an open freezer door! But it's great that you are able to share the chicken with friends.

I bought two metal cutters for that reason, but they don't lay flat on the skillet. When I tried it, the batter ran out of the bottom. :smileysad:

Lol Megan. I admit my life has become very busy and hectic. Although tired and stressed from time to time, I am loving it. :smileyhappy:
