New month so I'm starting a new thread....

Happy belated birthday to Lijah and Peanut! I missed those two. Sorry about that.

Anyway, went fishing on the river today and turned myself into a lobster. My chest has never been burnt like this before. Ugh...at least it doesn't hurt yet. :smileywink: I need to get caught up on some laundry tonight and try to get some good sleep. Sleep isn't my friend lately....it is avoiding me. But I should probably get my butt off the computer right now and fold this basket of towels.

Chat with you all probably on Monday.

Wow! I feel so out of the loop because of a few crazy days but I did manage to read all the posts. I am going to try to remember my reply after I get my shower :-)

Good job on the weekend productivity! :smileyhappy:

I think waiting on people would drive me crazy about organising things. I did put together a few pages of Bible verses this spring when the Bible-study ladies wanted to celebrate the leader's birthday, but thankfully it wasn't too bad for getting the "entries." If someone didn't respond in time, they just included whatever they had to say with their own card or gift if they had brought one. I guess they made it easy on me. :smileywink:

Hi! *Waves*

I can get out the duct tape if you want to stay in the loop permanently. :smileywink: (Canadian humour? I miss Red Green and his duct tape uses...)

The movie outing was fun last night. One nephew had no plans for the evening, so when I called Sis #2 to chat (and also find out her work schedule) I ended up chatting with him about our plans. Turns out the movie wasn't too young for his age (12) because he said, "I think Tim and Ben would like me to be there." LOL

He checked with his mum, she agreed and provided the food bank donations. (I meant to bring two cans of soup, but forgot them at the last minute.) Next time she needs to give him more money for concessions, though, because we did end up sharing our popcorn after he'd finished his food. Then he asked for a McFlurry when I offered a drink on the way home. Kids! :smileywink::smileywink:

Both kids did great as far as bathroom issues went and ended up staying up till 10:30. (Lots of traffic leaving the event, for one thing.)

I had a shower and meant to do a little reading in bed to make me sleepy, then saw how close I was to the end of the book, so I stayed up to finish it. :smileyhappy:

Ben grabbed the cereal this morning after we'd fed the pets, but also seemed to want waffles, so I gave them a small bowl that kept them happy while I was cooking. Why didn't I think of that before?!

Both boys have been a bit grumpy today as predicted by Sis #2, who's probably been through the late-night-normal-wakeup with her boys many times. They're attempting an early naptime now since both parents are a bit tired of dealing with the grumpies.

Guess we'll be off to shop for the cat's birthday present whenever naptime is done. First they need to stop chatting with each other, tsk tsk. At least it's friendly chatter and not screaming. :smileywink:

Sometimes it's easier to think on paper....or on keyboard. :smileyhappy:

I'm sure my shirt is fine. Harper's tongue on the other hand has a big gash in it and she can't eat any salty or flavored food because of it. She will spit the food out and cry in pain. Poor little girl! A shirt is replaceable, but my little girl in pain is not acceptable!

I actually got my sewing machine out and fixed 1 dress for Eva. I had to make some clothes smaller (skinnier) for Eva, too so I did: 1 dress, 1 halter-top shirt, and 2 leggings. Now her clothes should fit pretty good.
