New month so I'm starting a new thread....

Happy belated birthday to Lijah and Peanut! I missed those two. Sorry about that.

Anyway, went fishing on the river today and turned myself into a lobster. My chest has never been burnt like this before. Ugh...at least it doesn't hurt yet. :smileywink: I need to get caught up on some laundry tonight and try to get some good sleep. Sleep isn't my friend lately....it is avoiding me. But I should probably get my butt off the computer right now and fold this basket of towels.

Chat with you all probably on Monday.

Also worked on the next two weeks of the meal plan while I was in the kitchen. There are a few gaps still, but having Thanksgiving coming up on the 8th helps fill up the days. :smileyvery-happy:

We're catching up on The Voice right now. Not sure if we'll watch a movie later (Men In Black 3 or Back to the Future 2?) or catch up on more shows.

Here's our Saturday so far: lazy start to the morning, then out between snacktime and lunch to pick apples and plums. Not much going on after lunch until Ben's nap, then Hubby, Ben and the pets were all napping at the same time. Tim and I finished off the Transformers novel that's due back at the library on Tuesday. (Whew, we did it! Not a bad story either for a children's action novel.)

Almost ordered Chinese for supper, then decided there's a good likelihood of needing takeout on the way back from visiting the ILs tomorrow. I came up with the idea of omelettes since we had some bell peppers to use up, so it was sauteed onions and peppers inside with cheese and deli meat. Yum yum!

I remembered to get flyers yesterday (since they come out Thursday locally but aren't delivered to most stores till Friday, tsk tsk). So far nothing is jumping out from the grocery store offerings.

Concern for the dog itself is part of my problem when I see dogs roaming on their own. I always think how upset I'd be if I found that Tas had been hit (or dognapped, since he's a purebred).

One of our trees didn't produce any apples. I'm not sure if all the rain in June was a big deal, but I think the dry weather afterward limited the growth.

We have one box of apples and I think we'll be separating out the ones for pie and sauce vs eating apples.

We also picked our plums since we had a ladder handy.

Grr to the dog getting loose and almost biting your hubby! I haven't seen as many dogs wandering around our neighbourhood, but when we moved here it seemed like nobody kept their dogs at home. I'm still not cool with cleaning up poop from an animal that isn't mine...

Yay for a clean bed!

I was watching shows till about 11:30 and didn't really notice when it was my normal bedtime, so I got Tim up too late and his bed was already wet. :smileysad: That doesn't happen when he's woken up, so I think I'll stick with that strategy and maybe he'll begin to wake himself up...
