When I was listening to Sean Hannity today, I heard a quick discussoin about how they left out the vow "to obey" (the huband).

I like the word submit better then obey also. I keep forgetting to get "Sacred Marriage" from the library. I also want to get "Power of a Praying Wife."

Those sound like great titles to check out. I don't read much non-fiction, but I definitely should on that subject!

Heather, to address your least important point in this post (ha!), I think Philip is not called King because basically King outranks Queen. She is the head of the monarchy, so no one can have a higher title than she has.

After further research, it looks like he could be called King if Parliament were petitioned and agreed to make the change

I'm assuming Queen Victoria had a Prince Consort as well, not King, since I don't remember hearing Queen Victoria and King Albert.

I like it as is with Queen Elizabeth being the definite head of the monarchy - and feel entitled to give my opinion as a person living in a Commonwealth country. LOL
