Hi Christine and Nicole!!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you both and praying for you this month.

Here's a little bio of me. :)

I'm Megumi. Wife to Hiro, mom to Ryoma. Hiro and I have been married for 7 years. We got married after dating for 6 years, so we've been together for 13 years. It's scary how fast time flies... After having a m/c in Dec of 2005, we were finally blessed with a beautiful son, Ryoma on 5/24.

I'm originally from Japan. Born and raised in Kobe (famous for Kobe beef). But have moved around a lot since 16. I attended a boarding school in California for a year and a half, went to Boston for college, moved to NY after getting married and lived in manhattan for 4 years, moved to Portland, Oregon for DH's job, and finally moved back to NY (long island) in Dec of 2006 to settle for a little while.

I was born and raised in a Christian home, so it was easy for me to accept Christ as my lord and savior. But I've had some ups and downs in my walk of faith. I finally surrendered my life to Christ after experiencing 9/11. I lived 5, 6 blocks south of World Trade Center when the planes struck the towers. And after God brought me out of the area safely, I felt His strong presence.

My main prayer request is for Hiro and Ryoma's salvation. Hiro has definitely come a long way. There were times when he didn't want me to go to church, but now he's okay with it. He's been to church with me number of times, but can't seem to accept Christ as his savior yet. Before Ryoma was born, he told me he didn't want me to bring Ryoma to church because he thought that's brainwashing him. But he was okay with me bringing Ryoma to church the first time I went back to church after having Ryoma. And he hasn't said anything about bringing him to church ever since. He's even come to church with us a few times, too. Praise the Lord!!!

Please also pray for my faith. Ever since I had Ryoma, I feel like he's become the center of my life, but I need to shift my focus on God instead. I get easily worried when something happens to Ryoma, and get caught up in the negative thoughts when all I need to do is pray and ask God to take care of the situation.

I guess that's it for now. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!!!

Thanks for your prayers!!!

God bless,
Megumi

What a testimony Megumi, I learn some new things about you! How neat! I will definatly be praying for you hubby and son! Seems like God is already opening doors for you to be a witness/testimony to them both! And I feel the same way since having Eryn. Although recently dh and I have been reading our bibles and praying more so I feel a balance now! How scary it must have been to be so close to the WTC! I'm glad you were able to make it out safely!!!

Well I am Nicole (as you both know) and I'm married to Steven for three years this month. We have a beautiful baby girl Eryn who is 6 months next tuesday. Boy does time fly! DH and I "Dated" Since we were thirteen so this is our 10th

Wow, Nicole! You started dating Steven since 13, huh??? That's amazing!!! God brought the right person into your life so early. :)

I'll definitely be praying for your brother and his fiance that they will draw closer to God as they work through their problems. I'll also be praying for your other brother and his wife to get into church with their baby. I'll be praying for your cousin and aunt that God will help them control their behavior.

Is there anything you'd like us to pray for you other than your family??? How's your work situation? I know that was one of your prayer requests before, so let us know how it's going.

Christine, how are you doing? Looking forward to hearing from you soon. :)

Thanks for praying for Hiro and Ryoma. I know God is in control, but there are ups and downs especially when trying to witness to Hiro, so please also pray for patience and wisdom as I witness to him.

I hope your day is off to a great start!

Take care and God bless,
Megumi

Hey sisters! How's your weekend so far? It's been quiet in here, but hope all is well with you both.

My weekend's been nice. Friday was a long day, since Hiro, Ryoma and I went into Manhattan to process Ryoma's Japanese passport. We're going back to Japan in Dec, so we decided to apply for it now. We left around 1, got to Manhattan a little past 2, and we waited a little over an hour until we were called up to turn in the form. We missed lunch, so we went to our favorite noodle shop before we went home. Ryoma got a little fussy on our way home, so I was glad when we finally got home around 8.

Yesterday, Hiro took me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday. (it was on Monday, so we decided to celebrate on the weekend.) I was hoping Ryoma would nap on our way to the restaurant, but he didn't. And he got fussy as we were getting ready to order. So Hiro decided to take him on a ride, hoping that he would fall asleep. But instead, he got even fussier, so Hiro told us we couldn't stay for dinner. So I asked for a take out instead of dining in, but while I was waiting for the food, Hiro came back. Apparently, Ryoma calmed down, so he thought we could stay for dinner. So we ended up having our dinner at the restaurant, but we had to eat quickly, since Ryoma was awake the whole time. He got fussy as we were finishing up, but I'm glad I got to enjoy some good Japanese food. :)

I missed church today since Hiro was going to work, and he said he couldn't watch Ryoma while I went to church. I thought of waking up Ryoma to take him with me to church, but Hiro was making me go through a guilt trip. Please pray that I will be able to attend church next week with Hiro and Ryoma. That would mean so much to me...

Well, I hope to hear from you both soon!!!

Have a blessed Sunday!

Hey ladies! I had a good weekend! Friday night DH and I got to go out on a date! My mom watched Eryn, she took her from work so I was able to go home and take a long shower then just relax untill dh got home then we got ready and went and ate, then to a highschool football game with our church! We had so much fun! Now that we are comfie leaving her we are going to make it a must...a date night once a month! We'll go out again the 17th for our anniversary so that'll be two in one month! Saturday I just got up did some cleaning then grocery shopping then home again to relax then of course sunday was church!

Megumi- I am sorry you weren't able to make it to church Sunday! I'll be praying you and both your men will be able to go this Sunday! Sounds like you had a fun weekend though! It is hard to schedule dinner or outing around babies schedules....seems like when you're uot it is harder for them to stick to them! Once he is just a few more weeks older it'll b easy! Eryn is getting where she likes to see everything going around so when we o out there is a lot fo her to see so she'll stay busy just looking! Or we can give her a toy and she is fine. And she is also starting to hold her own bottles so we can just leave her in her carrier and she can feed herself! :) She'll be 6 months tomorrow, I can't believe it!! How old is Ryomi again?

Christine- I hope those headaches are gone! Headaches are no fun! Praying for you adn your familyl as well!

Good morning, sisters!! Hope your Monday is off to a great start.

Nicole, sounds like you had a lot of fun with Steven while your mom babysat Eryn. I wish I had family to watch Ryoma for us, too!!! That's nice that you'll get to have another date night on your anniversary. Any special plans???

Christine, how's the headache? I hope it's gone and you're feeling better. Praying for you!!!

Thanks for your prayers. It definitely gives me strength to fight off Satan's temptation to miss church.

So, what kind of toys does Eryn play with when you're out? Ryoma has a few that he likes to play with, but he doesn't play with it for too long. Once he loses interest, he just toss is it. We need something that keeps him interested for a longer time. Or keep switching toys...

Well, it's going to be a busy week for us this week. Hiro's ex-colleague is staying with us from tomorrow night until Saturday. He's here to attend a wedding of his ex-colleague, who's Hiro's ex-colleague, too. So we're also invited to the wedding. The wedding is on Friday, so I've asked a friend of mine to babysit Ryoma. This is our first time having someone watch him for a long time, so I'm a little nervous. I've decided to only attend the reception, so that I'll be gone for about 5 hours. Please pray that all goes well, and that I could relax and actually enjoy the wedding. My friend who's babysitting Ryoma came over last Wed just to hang out with us. I asked her to feed him and hold him and he seemed very comfortable with her, so I think he'll be okay. She used to be a nurse in Japan, so I think she'll take good care of Ryoma.

Okay, I better hop in the shower and get ready for the day while Ryoma's still napping.

Have a blessed day!!!

:)

Hi sisters,

Just checking in mid-week to see how you're doing. It's been awfully quiet in here!!! I'd love to hear more about what's going on in your lives.

I'm doing good. It's gotten quite chilly these days, so I've been mostly staying home with Ryoma. But a college friend of Hiro and I are visiting today, so we'll meet up for dinner. I'm still debating if we should pick something up and eat at home, or try to go to a restaurant. Ryoma hasn't been napping in the evening now, so it might be better to eat at home.

I have a new prayer request. Ryoma has these rashes on his face for about a week now. I didn't think much of it in the beginning, since he's had rashes before, but these rashes don't seem to go away. They look like they're about to go away, and then they come back again. I haven't put anything on them because they're on his face, but I wish I could do something... We're going to switch his bath soap, since we started to notice these rashes after we started using a different soap. But please pray that the rashes clear up.

Thanks, sisters!

Let me know how you're doing!!!

God bless,
Megumi

Sorry I haven't posted! I thought I had replied to this already but I didn't! I bought for Eryn one of those toys that attatches to the car seat! It has a frog that plays music and some other lil toys that spin around (got it at walmart for like 10 bucks) they also have other types of toys that attach to them! Try getting some of those then he can't knock them on the floor and he has something to do!

I started feeling sick the other day, I am sure it is just my sinuses b/c of the weather change, it is starting to cool down so that is nice! But just not for my sinus! So please pray I feel better!

Nothing much going on with us! Just working! This weekend I may be going out to my parents for the day to hang out! and tomorrow night dh has a softball game, but not sure if I'll go or not just b/c of the cold and I don't want to get eryn out in it!

Oh we went for her 6 month dr appt and she only gained half a pound in 2 months! They said as long as she doesn't drop weight and stays in the right percentile, but if either of those change then she'll have to see a specialist! She isn't really into eating solids, I mean if I catch her at the right time she will, but most of the time she don't care too much about them, the dr told me to just make sure to get her 36 oz of formula! So I'm trying to work with her on that! I dont want her to have to see a specialist! We go back in a month to get the other half of her flu shot and fo her to be weighed so we'll see what she says then! But other than that she is doin great! Rolling around like c razy and just a babling away! I can't believe it has been 6 months already! I'm going to be posting some pics later that I took of her last night!

Oh and I have a prayer request, my brother had injured his arm a couple of months ago and from that he has got what is called a gangelliion (sp?) cyst, he is goign to the dr today to have the fluids sucked out but if it has a staff infection they'll have to hook him up to an IV to get him antiboticed up! So just pray he is able to go in and get it taken care of quickly! Thanks!
