Hey Cindy and Leona! I'm not sure if we ever posted to each other, but nice to "meet" you. :)
* What are your children's names and ages? Ryoma 5 months old boy
* How long have you been married? Hiro and I have been married for 7 and a half years
* What is your favorite season and why? I like spring and fall - love when the flowers start to bloom and love when the leaves start to change color
* How did you become a Christian? I was raised in a Christian home, so I accepted Christ when I was 11. I had ups and downs in my journey of faith, but my faith has gotten stronger ever since God brought me out of my apartment about 5, 6 blocks south of WTC safely on 9/11.
* Where do you live (as in region, you don't have to be specific)? Long Island, NY
* Have you started Christmas shopping? nope!!
* Toilet Paper- over or under? I'm from Japan, and Japanese people almost always roll tp over. I still don't feel comfortable rolling tp under, so it's always rolled over at our home. :)
* Do you have siblings? Yes, younger sister.
* Where do you fall in birth order in your family? I'm 3 years older than my sis.
So, do you have any prayer requests???
My most important prayer request is for my DH Hiro's salvation. He's come a long way, but he still hasn't been able to accept Christ as his savior.
Other than that, could you pray that my phone line gets fixed quickly. Something's wrong with the dial tone. I can get DSL service, though, which is a blessing 'cuz I can check my e-mail. A technician came to fix it today, but he couldn't fix it. And since today's saturday, he wasn't able to get in touch with his boss for advice. He said someone will come on Monday to fix it. Thankfully, we have cell phones, but I just want our land line to work soon.
Thanks, ladies!
I look forward to getting to know you better this month!!!
Let me know what your prayer requests are.
God bless,
Megumi

Leona, it's nice to hear from you. :) Wow! You've been married for 23 years to your DH, huh? That's a very long time!!! I'll definitely be praying that your DH's employer moves quickly with the greencard application process. And once it's processed, that you'll get greencard quickly. I know how frustrating that is. Hiro and I are Japanese, so when we moved to the U.S. after we got married, he was on work visa and I was on student visa. Eventually, Hiro's employer supported him to get a greencard, and we were able to get it pretty quickly because of the category he was under. But until then, we weren't really sure how much longer we were able to stay here. Do you have to find a lawyer? Or will DH's employer take care of that?
Okay, off to bed!!
Have a good night.
God bless,
Megumi

I see, Leona. With Hiro's case, we had to find a lawyer to apply for greencard. Maybe the law has changed. It's nice that you don't have to pay, though. We had to pay $3000 to the lawyer, and that was a lot of money... Praying that it gets processed quickly!!!!! I know it's frustrating, but God is in control. Praying that you'll be able to put all your trust in Him.
Just a little story to share about when we got our greencard. Hiro's a research scientist, and he was doing his post-doctoral work at a lab. Several months after we applied for the greencard, his boss decided to move to a different school in different part of the U.S., so we had to relocate as well. We were concerned that we might not get our greencard because he was no longer employed at the school that was supporting for his greencard. We had gotten our work permit, but we were still waiting to get our finger prints taken. Well, we got a notice telling us to get our finger prints taken and the date they assigned us was a few days before our move. So we were able to get our finger prints taken in time, and once that was done, they approved our application. There's more to this story. Even though our application was approved, they mailed our greencard to our old address. And since government issued documents don't get forwarded to a new address, it got sent back to the naturalization office. So I had to contact them to make the address change and have the greencard sent out again. It took a little longer than expected, and I was afraid it might some how get lost in the mail, but it finally arrived several weeks after. So, my point is, God is in control. :) God's timing is perfect, and He knows when something needs to happen. And He will make things happen if it's according to His plans. So keep trusting HIM!!!
God bless,
Megumi
Thank you for your story

Hi Sisters!!! Hope your Tuesday is off to a great start.
Leona, thanks for sharing the story about God's amazing guidance in your life. He always knows what's on our minds, and provides us with what we need. I'll continue to pray that your employer files the application soon. I'll also be praying for patience as you wait for things to start moving.
Cindy, I hope your migraine's better today. I've never had a migraine, but from what I hear, it's very, very painful. Do you have to take medicine for it? And how were the results from the bloodwork? Praying that you can start ttc #2 and that God will bless you with another child. :) It's scary to start trying after a m/c, (I had a m/c three years ago...) but praying that you'll be able to find peace in God.
I wanted to share an answer to our prayers for my landline to get fixed. Something was wrong with our phone line, and a technician came to fix it on Saturday, but he couldn't find the pole where our phone line was connected to. So another technician came yesterday, and after some searching, he was able to find it and fix the problem. It's nice to have our land line back, although we don't use it too often. But we use DSL for internet, so I'm glad I don't have to worry about not having internet connection. :)
Thanks for your prayers!!!
Have a blessed day.
:)
Megumi
I called the dr office and they haven't gotten the results from the lab yet.
