I am making this folder for the ladies that almost signed up for pp's but wasn't sure they wanted too. Or you almost did but didn't think you would be on enough to keep in touch with your PP's. Or if you just flat out missed sign ups!

I will be your PP without the commitment! you can post here we can get to know eachother and pray for you..but you don't have to feel like you are commited for the whole month. make sense??

Shae,

Just saw this thread today. This month has been crazy--as if being 7 months pregnant didn't make it crazy enough. My "favorite" uncle went in for a routine colonoscopy--just doing it because he's 58, no other reason, no problems or anything. Well they found a HUGE mass, biopsied it and the biopsy came back negative for cancer, which puzzled the doctor because he was just positive that it was cancer. But the mass had to be removed because it was starting to block his colon. He went to do his pre-op test the day before surgery and on the way there started feeling chest pains. He drove on to the clinic and told them about the chest pain when he got there. They hooked him up to a monitor and he was having a heart attactk--they called an ambulance and sent him on to the hospital. So he spent a few days in the hospital getting his heart under control and meds regulated.

He had his colon surgery last Monday--the mass was cancer, but the doctor is confident he got everything and they were going to get him on a radiation schedule. Then on Monday night he had another massive heart attack, he had 2 more small attacks on Tuesday. They took him to the heart cath lab and did a heart cath and placed a balloon in the artery that had the most blockage. The doctors told my aunt and cousins not to give up hope and the doctors actually prayed with them.

Fast forward to today--he is doing much better, not out of the woods, but better. He is still in the cardiac care unit, but they removed the balloon yesterday and are monitoring his heart closely. The doctor's hope is that they can let him recover from the colon surgery and do his heart surgery in 6 weeks. Then let him recover from that surgery and then start radiation.

Crazy that you go in for something routine and all this other stuff happens. I am just thankful that they have such great caring doctors and that their church family is taking such good care of them.

Anyway, I am now home and access to my own computer now, instead of using my cousin's. Just wanted to share and have someone else praying for my sweet uncle. He has never been sick in his life and is usually the one taking care of everyone else. I hope my aunt will be able to keep him down and resting when he does get to come home!!
