3 nights in a row of Andrew STTN without coughing! Woo hoo!

I am also bad at uploading pictures to the computer off my camera. I have to compete for time on the desktop with my DH (I usually work/play on my laptop), so I have to wait until he's away or busy to do pictures. Looks like you finally did it though!

Today we have to take DH's car to the shop. Its reached the point where it needs a lot of repairs, but we still haven't saved up enough for a new car or decided what car to look for. Then, I have singing practice in the evening. So busy-ish day. Tomorrow (Friday) I am going to work for a couple meetings, so that will be the longest away from Leah yet (~4 hours). Lately she's only been taking 1 oz per attempt from the bottle. Yesterday she just wasn't very hungry, which was odd, because she had just taken a 3.5 hour nap. I found out that one of my grad students' niece has the same issue. My student is a live-in nanny for her sister, so she spends most of her days with her niece just feeding her. Yikes! DH imagines this will happen with him and Leah, and boy will that be rough on Andrew!

Poor JJ with the nebulizer!

Quick prayer request - I have to go to work today for a few meetings, plus it is going to snow a lot today, so this will be my longest away from Leah. Pray that it goes well with the bottle and DH's sanity. Hopefully he remembered to ask his mom for help!

Yesterday was a rough day. First, the car shop almost overcharged us $150, and they also put a $130 part on there that DH didn't think we needed. DH had a quote from a few months ago and he did his best to hold the mechanic to it. He was really upset at first but then realized he couldn't totally blame the mechanic. This guy is a friend of the family, so that's why we go to him, hoping we'll get a fair deal, but he's also not very professional.

Leah only took 0.75 oz yesterday but she wasn't particularly hungry? I thik she's teething too, so that makes matters worse. I wish this would end soon. The people at work are generally supportive right now, but that wont last forever.

I has singing practice yesterday and it ran late so Leah was cranky and I was tired when I got home.

I just need to work on counting my blessings.

I forget - where do you live? We got a lot of snow yesterday (in fact, it took me 2 hours to drive to work, but normally only takes me 45 min at that time of day!). But its very cold here - wind chill around 3! So no way were we taking Andrew outside.

I am really slow about printing my pictures. Right now I'm trying to collect enough pampers points to get a shuterfly credit, but not sure how close I am.

You probably saw this on fb, but in case you didn't... Leah took to the bottle very well yesterday. Like she never struggled before! Still not a lot, but a lot more than she had been taking.

Now I'm getting the cold Andrew had. Gah! And I have to sing in church tomorrow - we'll see how that goes.

Gotta go - Leah is waking up!

what part of NY? I saw that upstate NY got quite a bit of snow. In my suburb, we actually didn't get that much, but the more you go east, the worse it gets. And to think the other day my DH suggested we move to the snow belt (he forgot that it was the snow belt!)

Poor JJ! Oh my gosh! I'll be praying for him!

Thanks for your prayers for Leah. Keep them coming. Not sure if we'll get a practice session in today. That whole process is more stressful for me than anything. I have to make sure DH is available (he's always doing something, whether its taking a shower, electroshock therapy, who knows), I like to time it after Leah's nap, I like to be out of the visciniity... and of course, DH wants to go run errands, and he is just not efficient at that. Ugh.

DH did take Andrew in the snow today. Andrew looked like he was having fun.

Tomorow my MIL is having a surprise dinner for her husband's (DH's stepdad) 60th (?) birthday at Olive Garden. That should be interesting. We haven't taken Andrew to restaurants much, so no telling how he'll do. I can't imagine that there will be anywhere for me to hide and nurse Leah, so I'll probably have to leave early anyway. And of course, MILs stepkids hate her, and no telling how their kids will behave. DH's sister is already trying to get out of it - she called here offering to watch the kids so we could go by ourselves - ha!

I like little amounts of snow - enough to look at and maybe Andrew to play in. But when it messes with traffic, that's no good. Plus now with DH's hips being so messed up, I hate for him to shovel, but he doesn't want me shoveling. Right now its raining here, but we are supposed to get snow later. Crazy weather.

I'm starting to get nervous that I'm developing an eye infection. My eyes are itchy and I thought I found some crusties, though those might have been standard sleepy ones. And I can't find the eye drops they gave me when I was pregnant and had pink eye. Pray this is just part of the cold and resolves itself! I do not have time to go see someone about this. I've been contemplating switching primary docs because mine is kinda far away (1 hour) - that was okay when I didn't have kids, but I realized that I've been going to urgicare for things in the past couple years that I probably should have been going to a primary care doc.

That's really terrible about your inlaw situation. Its terrible when people are so selfish and weird. Another weird thing about this dinner over the weekend - stepbrother's wife didn't come. She didn't come to Christmas either. That means that stepbrother brought their 5 kids all by himself. That's nuts.

Leah had another good practice with the bottle yesterday. I even had to entertain her for 45 min until DH was ready for her, so that means she saw me before the bottle and still took the bottle. So I think we're through the refusing stage. Next will be to see how much (amount) she takes, but she's been doing well with that too. I'm sure it will vary, and we're probably not totally there yet, but I can probably stop worrying as much!

Now if I could only start waking up on time...
