I know exactly how you feel about not doing work when you aren't feeling well. I have been having a hard time waking up in the morning since I'm still not feeling great. (Yesterday I almost dozed off while rocking Leah at 7 pm - that would not have been good!) I'll keep praying that you get better - that's more important than cleaning anyway!

Why is Toys R us cancelling your orders? That is really frustrating. I hope they refund your GCs or give you cash somehow without issues, and soon.

The main reason I logged back in so quickly is that I forgot a prayer request, and if you have been on FB-CSP then you probably saw it so I apologize. Please pray for my aunt. She's been diagnosed with bone cancer, its supposedly aggressive, and they are recommending amputating her leg at the hip. I don't know how she'd deal with that. She's an alcoholic (she was sober for ~20 years, then recently started drinking again), and just has an addictive, easily depressed personality. She's also poor. If she does the amputation, she might need to move to a nursing home, or live with someone else, so my family (my mom, and her daughter) are weighing all that. This all came to light on Monday, my sister told me on Tuesday, so I've been waiting a few days for my mom to calm down (she's been working 3 12-hr shifts in a row too) before I called her.

I hope your cold is still improving. And I hope your car didn't cost too much to repair. Our car repair really messed up our budget this month so I know your pain.

Sounds like you take the kids to Chuck E Cheese pretty often. I always just thought of that place for parties only, but I'm sure its fun for the kids.

I had no idea that things could be listed on Toys R Us's site as available and not realy be. Does that mean they can't get those items at all? That's really dumb!

Sorry I haven't been on - Leah's naps have been short and not usually coinciding with Andrew's, so I haven't been able to do much on the computer other than work.

DH has survived the first couple of days alone with the kids. Today will be a little longer. Its been hard because Leah hasn't been napping well, or only on his shoulder, so he can't do much. Then I get home, and he needs a break and disappears, but I'm tired from work, so that's hard too. I also have been having a hard time waking up in the morning. Not sure what I'm going to do Wednesday - if I want to wake Leah to nurse her before I'm supposed to be in the office at 8 am, I probably need to wake up at 4:45 am! Or I'll just the conference call from home again until I can wake up on time.

My family is having a range of reactions to my aunt's condition. Her daughter is just freaking out. My mom is sad, but having to help my aunt deal with the medical appointments and decision making. They went for a CT Scan last week to see if the cancer had spread to her lungs - that will determine whether they do surgery or radiation/chemo instead. Please keep praying!

So glad your cold is getting better and the car repair wasn't very expensive! YAY!

That sounds like an awesome way to get the kids out during winter, especially with tokens and gift cards laying around. We have something at the community center called "Squeaky Sneakers" and I've been nagging DH to take Andrew. Its only on Mon and Fri, so that's harder now that I work on those days, and it would be too much for DH to take Leah too. Maybe some day if I can trust MIL with Leah, or if I stay home on a Friday, I'll make DH go.

I do most of my online playing in the early morning too before everyone wakes up. I also do work stuff, so I'm pretty busy for a few hours. Today I'm "off" - other than keeping up on email, I'm really taking this as a day off as its designed to be, because I worked a decent day yesterday. DH had a good day with the kids. Leah took 2 really big bottles - when I'm with her, she nurses every 2 hours, but DH is trying to push her longer, so if she's acting hungry, he gives her a bigger bottle. Whatever works! And DH managed to exercise and straighten up Andrew's toy area! I'm exhausted (dosed off nursing Leah at 6:30 pm again). I almost wonder if my thyroid levels are off - I have to see when I'm due to check those again.

Have a good day!

I'm sorry your kids woke up early! Oh that's rough! On the days I work from home, I do most everything between 5 - 8 am, so when a kid wakes up early, that is totally wrecked.

That's awesome that you got so much cleaning done, and good luck with today's cleaning. I'm so jealous - I have no idea when I'm going to catch up with cleaning.

Thyroid tests are funny things. Years ago I struggled with my weight and fatigue, and I swore I was hypothyroid. My primary care doc ran tests and always said everything was "normal". Well, after I got thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed, they found I had a condition that causes hypothyroid. So I suspect my thyroid tests were interpreted incorrectly for a long time - the tests come with a "normal range", but there is an ideal range that is much tighter. In my case now, I'm not due to have my levels checked until Feb, and since we changed my insurance and labwork isn't "free" anymore, I will wait.

Yesterday was a good day. DH took Andrew to story time at the library and he had fun. DH and I also had a good conversation about his pursuit of work. We've had this same conversation a few times before, but this time he actually did something about it and took the first step towards getting training as a gunsmith. So that is really good. I'm a little afraid of losing his help around the house when/if he starts working, but that's real life I guess!

But I'm getting really stressed out with work. A lot of stuff is hitting the fan right now, and its really hard to deal with since I'm still only part-time and dealing with returning to work after such a long time off. I can literally feel it weighing on my heart. Thank God DH is doing okay with the kids, and Leah is taking the bottle, etc., but its hard on me anyway and probably will be for a few months until I adjust. I just want to curl up and cry about the work stress though. Please pray for me in that area. I'm trying so hard to give it over to God, but I'm struggling with that.
