Wow, here I thought I was "spoiled" that I've never had to take Andrew to one of Leah's appointments. Glad to know someone else gets help too!

I mentioned the fatigue thing to DH briefly yesterday (I was getting ready for bed so it was quick) and he thought it had to do with the food we eat. That's one of his latest kicks. I'll admit we don't eat very well - not enough fruits and veggies - partially because everything is out of season. I'll talk to him about it more.

So here's the story about DH and I apologize if some of this gets long or redundant but he does need prayer: He was a financial counselor for years. It was great because he could work on a lot of stuff from home and be home with Andrew. In fact, the year Andrew was born was one of DH's biggest years in terms of business. Then, to make a long story short, the referral system changed, so he'd have to pay per referral rather than people contacting him directly. Most of his referrals never pan out or he helped them for free, so it didn't make sense to pay for referrals (he'd lose money). So, thus ended the financial counseling business. Kinda sad, because he's honestly great at it and has helped many people, but he is not good at self-promotion, and didn't want to invent all sorts of weird ways to advertise himself.

So, now he's trying to find a new line of work. Ideally, something he can do from home, because he does like that and values not sending the kids to day care. We just haven't figured out what he should do. He's very passionate about the constitution and politics, and is involved on a volunteer basis in organizations that do that stuff. We're trying to figure out a way he can get PAID. I've made suggestions on things to investigate, and he just never does that. He has considered just getting a job like pizza delivery to get him out of the house and bring in some income, but he really really wants to do something that matters and that he can do from home (non traditional). So we need to pray that he figures out what that is, and that he spends his time when I'm home on researching stuff.

That looks like a really cool fundraiser - lots of different kinds of things to order! And there are flowers in there, but other stuff too! And it said it delivers to the house, right - that's awesome and takes pressure off the teachers and parents. I'll keep praying that your co chairman is less stubborn and starts thinking practically!

I do believe that what we eat and drink effects how much energy we have.

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry about your finger! That pain must be terrible, and to deal with that when you've got 2 LOs - yikes! I know all about always being in a hurry - I tend to forget things because I'm always running around.

DH tried the career builder type thing before and it didn't help him. Either that, or we just don't know the right place to look. He is destined for something that is unconventional. Like financial counseling on his own and not through some organization that doesn't believe the way he does. Now there are places that help develop small business, but DH doesn't really want to go that route. Maybe someday, I don't know. I have been suggesting to DH to talk to people in the areas that he's interested in to see if they know of any jobs. He's always uncomfortable with that, but he's got to start somewhere.

Yesterday was a crazy day. Leah woke up at 6 am instead of her usual 8 am. After I put her back to bed and got the dogs out, Andrew woke up at 7:15 (he usually wakes up closer to 8 am). His wake-up time seems to be shiftting to be permanently earlier though. I had to sit Andrew in front of cartoons so I could shower and get ready to go to the dentist. Then, Andrew was just HUNGRY in the early part of the day. He kept asking for food, and he'd finish it and ask for more, and it was an adventure keeping up with that while trying to nurse Leah! (DH must have been busy, no idea where he was at that time.) Hopefully today won't be more of the same so that DH doesn't have to run himself ragged!

I'm sure the food thing has a tiny bit to do with my fatigue, but I really think its more stress related. For example, yesterday was supposed to be a day off, but I kept up on email anyway. That by itself isn't bad, but one of my colleagues was bugging me for something, so I finally dropped everything and did it. Just too much going at once - I hope as I catch up, things settle down.

JJ goes through phases of eating everything in sight, then not eating a thing.

This was a crazy weekend. I managed to read your post on Saturday, but then Leah woke up and then I was busy the rest of the time! So I've been praying for your upcoming hectic week!

So glad your finger is feeling better!

Andrew also has his good eating days and bad eating days, but Thursday was exceptional. I seriously felt like I couldn't keep up with feeding him!

Saturday I almost had a super productive day. DH took Andrew to a local nature center, and Leah took a long nap, so I got a bunch of cleaning done. I finally got to Target to stock up on some stuff, and on my way home, DH called to tell me to pick up some soup his mom made. I was going to make a nice meal from scratch, but with fresh soup, that didn't happen. Then yesterday being the super bowl, our favorite pizza place had an awesome deal, so we got pizza which will last a couple days. I guess the big "real food" meal will come Tuesday.

This week my goal is to get to JCPenney and cash in some of the gift cards I got for Christmas. There's a bunch of stuff I could use, plus clothes for the kids. I've been putting it off until things calmed down for me, and now with JCP changing their pricing structure, I'm glad I waited. I have a coupon too!

By the way, my fatigue has been doing much better. I've been sleeping in an hour on Tues/Thurs when I'm off, and I think that's helping. Also I'm working hard to go to bed by 10 pm so I get at least 7 hrs of sleep. It makes a big difference. Once I am full-time with work again, I won't be able to sleep in anymore, so I'm hoping the extra rest now will help!

Good luck at your meeting today!!!

I'm like that too - I thrive on having things planned in advance. That's the problem with my coworkers sometimes - they tend to procrastinate, and I get stressed if something isn't planned out enough in advance.

My MIL has done this food thing when I've either planned a meal or was in the middle of cooking more than once. It used to frustrate me, but now I consider it a blessing. I think she does it partially for the praise and thanks though... whatever, any help I can get is great!

I actually hate shopping. I get it from my mom. But its nice this time because I have a lot of GCs and some things in mind.

I forgot a couple of little prayer requests. Wednesday I am going to leave for work early and therefore not be able to nurse Leah before I go. This will be the first time I don't nurse her first thing in the morning - it should go well, but I still worry and its weird. (Last Wednesday I woke her up before I left for work, and she did NOT like that!) Also, DH and I have been discussing having his sister move in with us. She's been in her own apartment for a couple years now, but she's tight financially. A year with us would allow her to save up some money and pay off her student loans. We have the space - we'd have to move stuff around. And she's a great person and is even slowly becoming a Christian.

I'm not sure it matters that the spring fundraiser would be complete before spring, becuase then everyone will have their stuff in time for spring? Then again, some people (like myself) probably have a hard time thinking about spring stuff before spring actually comes. I hope your meetings went well!

I am pumping right now and boy there is a lot of milk coming out! I left an extra big bottle for Leah's first one, and there is plenty in the fridge, but it will still be interesting to see how everything works with Leah. DH did get up on time (before I left), and I woke up with plenty of time too.

SIL is an excellent babysitter. She was Andrew's primary caregiver when I was in the hospital having Leah, and she even volunteers to watch the kids.

I hope you had a good day at the gym! That's funny that you and DH just wave in passing. And even funnier that you enjoy showering there! I've actually never showed in a public thing like that. I only exercise at home (and haven't really done that for a long time). Who watches the kids when you are there?

Speaking of weight loss, I am now 20 lb lighter than I was when I got pregnant with Leah! Woo hoo! Thank God for GD and nursing!

Yesterday was hectic - Andrew woke up early again and so did Leah. I think that's now Andrew's new wake up time, which makes sense, but will make working from home more difficult when I start that up again. Thankfully, Leah settled into a routine very much like the one she has when DH watches her. I was amazed honestly. She did that a little on Saturday too, and it will be great if she does it Thursday. So Praise God for that!

Today will be a busy day at work, and I'm planning to leave a little early so I can go to the LC's office and buy a new nighttime bra. I hope she can accomodate me!
