I think we are going ahead with our original time.

Oh, that really stinks that you lost your cookies! That would totally ruin my day!

Don't worry too much about your walls - I think people are generally understanding about little renovation projects as long as your house isn't a total disaster. Talking about painting hits a little nerve with me. We haven't done any painting in our new house, and we've been here almost 2 years now. Just hasn't been a priority for DH, and now we have two kids to worry about instead of just 1. We also need to put some tile behind the stove, etc, because that wall got all splashed up with grease and the paint is flat and doesn't clean well. Ugh.

I didn't realize both of your kids were in school. JJ's close to Andrew's age, right? How many days/hours is he in school?

My ears have been ringing and its driving me crazy. I need to start praying that they get better with home treatments because I really don't have time to go to the doctor again. Last time, they cleaned them out, and then tested my hearing, and it looked like I was slowly losing my hearing. For crying out loud, I was only 32-33 at the time!

Please keep praying for DH to get some work inspiration. I really need to talk to him about helping me on my days at home. Tuesday was so hectic, and with Andrew waking up earlier (though he slept in yesterday!) I need to find solutions so I can actually get work done on the days I work from home.

Hey Cindy, I just wanted to pop on with a quick prayer request in case the weekend gets too crazy.

We are going to visit a friend's church on Sunday. Its an hour away, so we're not considering switching to there or anything. DH just respects the pastor (They are involved in an organization together) so he wants to visit. I'm nervous for how Andrew will handle being in Sunday School with strangers, and I'm nervous for the weather. Its snowing this weekend, and this church is out in the snow belt. And of course I'll have to nurse Leah in a strange place, and not sure if I'll find anywhere to hide or enough opportunities to do it,

Looks like we were online at the same time!

That's great that the kids all had fun yesterday and everything went well with the mom.

I totally understand that feeling of finding an awesome house and not being ready quite yet. DH and I watched the market for a few years before we were ready to buy, and it drove us crazy! We'd always see awesome houses in our price range but we weren't in a position to do anything. I'm glad we waited, because we got an insane deal on this house - basically free money. So hopefully God will reward your patience!

That sounds like fun for Julia - hopefully JJ will comply and take a nap so he can have fun too. We really need to take Andrew to something like that, but our schedules just don't work out that way yet. Maybe someday I'll take a Friday off so Andrew can go to Squeaky Sneakers... I'm just too behind on work right now to take any time off.

Hopefully you saw my other prayer request that I typed while you were typing. Keep our Sunday excursion in your prayers. I am looking forward to seeing a different church - I'm kinda burning out on church lately anyway.

It is very difficult on me to look at houses when we are not ready.

We never went to open houses until we were ready... actually we ended up never going to an open house since a new build ended up being the best thing for us! So we saw the model and that was it. We would look on the realty websites to educate ourselves about what you could get in our price range, but even that was upsetting sometimes.

That totally makes sense to have kept JJ home. We usually try to take our excursions like that on weekdays so there will be less people. I also totally understand you skipping out on the book club. You don't need the added stress, especially on your "off" time. If I had off time I wouldn't want anyone touching it either!

The trip to the other church went fine. The roads were okay, and Andrew did well in the toddler room. Leah was a little fussy so I didn't get to pay attention much, but I still liked it. It was small and nice. And we got drive thru lunch on the way home, and Andrew ate his burger without much help! It was so cute!

I'm at work now, and in a few minutes I have a meeting with someone else and my boss to discuss how to deal with some of the people I employ. We may have to fire one person, and it is really upsetting us (me and a co-worker, who is also a Christian). The guy is a good person, but just not right for the job, On top of that, the other person I employ is having surgery tomorrow (I just found out Friday), so its going to be a little hectic at work.

Yay for Valentine's day gifts! I saw on fb that you got a nice outing with your DH - did you get flowers too?

We don't really do Valentine's day around here. This year, I got DH a card, but he didn't get me one. Its hard for him to get out though - generally when he runs his errands, he's in a hurry and doesn't go to stores with cards. I didn't even think to get Andrew something, but then again, with DH's view on vday, its probably for the best. Maybe they'll have some chocolate on clearance later this week and then we'll get him something. I will try to make something a little special for dinner - we'll see if Andrew likes it!

We are going to try to not fire that one person. He tries really hard. We are going to see if there are any duties that he can take over from someone else in his area, and that person can take over some of the stuff he struggles with. Not sure it will work though. There is also someone hiring, but we'd hate to tell him to go find another job. I've never been in this position before - it feels weird.

We've actually never gotten Andrew a happy meal - we like Wendy's, so we just get him little burgers or nuggets from there. We probably don't want him knowing about the toys in happy meals!

DH just took Andrew to the library to get him out of the house, so I have a little bit of quiet time while Leah naps. LOVE that. So I'm trying to catch up a bit on work. Today is my last Tuesday off (yes, I'm working anyway, just not really focused or stressed).
