Now I understand about the medical clearance - that makes sense.

I wanted medical clearance just for my own peace of mind.

That looks like a fun place to play! Maybe when Leah nurses less frequently, I'll take Andrew myself to our community one, and we'll see if its similar.

I can't believe how slow Toys R Them is being with your refund! Sheesh! Sometimes places do not comprehend customer service - if you talk to one person, and the message doesn't get relayed correctly, you get stuck. That happened to me with a Gymboree refund - LONG story. Eventually I got store credit but not without a lot of bumps along the way.

Praying for you for both the fundraiser and the babysitting. I think you'll be surprised with the fundraiser. My DH is not very outspoken usually, so the first time he wanted to coordinate Financial Peace University at our church, our pastor didn't really have much faith in him. Well, DH is incredibly gifted with FPU, and he did a great job. As for the babysitting thing, I'm sure the boy will be happy since you have a kid friendly house already. I think that's more important than size - as long as there are toys and things to do.

Today DH and I are going on a dinner date - woo hoo! For Christmas, SIL gave us a gift card to a fancy restaurant and coupons to redeem for free babysitting (She'd babysit for free anyway though). Now that Leah is taking the bottle (again), I feel okay leaving her. I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm sorry your kids woke up early! Oh that's rough! On the days I work from home, I do most everything between 5 - 8 am, so when a kid wakes up early, that is totally wrecked.

That's awesome that you got so much cleaning done, and good luck with today's cleaning. I'm so jealous - I have no idea when I'm going to catch up with cleaning.

Thyroid tests are funny things. Years ago I struggled with my weight and fatigue, and I swore I was hypothyroid. My primary care doc ran tests and always said everything was "normal". Well, after I got thyroid cancer and had my thyroid removed, they found I had a condition that causes hypothyroid. So I suspect my thyroid tests were interpreted incorrectly for a long time - the tests come with a "normal range", but there is an ideal range that is much tighter. In my case now, I'm not due to have my levels checked until Feb, and since we changed my insurance and labwork isn't "free" anymore, I will wait.

Yesterday was a good day. DH took Andrew to story time at the library and he had fun. DH and I also had a good conversation about his pursuit of work. We've had this same conversation a few times before, but this time he actually did something about it and took the first step towards getting training as a gunsmith. So that is really good. I'm a little afraid of losing his help around the house when/if he starts working, but that's real life I guess!

But I'm getting really stressed out with work. A lot of stuff is hitting the fan right now, and its really hard to deal with since I'm still only part-time and dealing with returning to work after such a long time off. I can literally feel it weighing on my heart. Thank God DH is doing okay with the kids, and Leah is taking the bottle, etc., but its hard on me anyway and probably will be for a few months until I adjust. I just want to curl up and cry about the work stress though. Please pray for me in that area. I'm trying so hard to give it over to God, but I'm struggling with that.

So glad your cold is getting better and the car repair wasn't very expensive! YAY!

That sounds like an awesome way to get the kids out during winter, especially with tokens and gift cards laying around. We have something at the community center called "Squeaky Sneakers" and I've been nagging DH to take Andrew. Its only on Mon and Fri, so that's harder now that I work on those days, and it would be too much for DH to take Leah too. Maybe some day if I can trust MIL with Leah, or if I stay home on a Friday, I'll make DH go.

I do most of my online playing in the early morning too before everyone wakes up. I also do work stuff, so I'm pretty busy for a few hours. Today I'm "off" - other than keeping up on email, I'm really taking this as a day off as its designed to be, because I worked a decent day yesterday. DH had a good day with the kids. Leah took 2 really big bottles - when I'm with her, she nurses every 2 hours, but DH is trying to push her longer, so if she's acting hungry, he gives her a bigger bottle. Whatever works! And DH managed to exercise and straighten up Andrew's toy area! I'm exhausted (dosed off nursing Leah at 6:30 pm again). I almost wonder if my thyroid levels are off - I have to see when I'm due to check those again.

Have a good day!
