sorry I hadn't replied yet. I usually do whlie I"m pumping at work, but I got a ton of emails to deal with yesterday. ugh.

For your headaches, make sure you're drinking plenty of water. I'm sure stress is a big part of it, but especially in the summer, you have to stay extra hydrated.

I hope everything works ou with JJ's therapy and preschool. It sounds very stressful.

Andrew did great at dinner! He liked the food and the atmosphere. I also wonder if he was hungry, because it was late-ish (an hour later than we normally eat dinner). Leah ate her baby food and puffs and she was pretty happy too.

DH did something political Thursday - he met with someone running for a local office, gave him some materials, and offered to help his campaign if he went over the materials. DH said the guy was realy impressive, and DH made an impression on him. I just love that he felt rewarded.

No plans for this weekend! I really need to catch up on cleaning, even though I need to try to stay off my ankle.

Gotta go - I slept in today and the dogs need to get out yet - my ankle icing time is up! I hope you have a great weekend!

I haven't been drinking as much water as usual for some reason.  I'll make sure I start doing that again.  I'm pretty sure it is stress related, but the heat certainly doesn't help any.

I'm so glad your dinner out went so well!  Julia has always done well at restaurants, and JJ used to.  Hopefully, as he ages, we will be able to do those types of things more often.

That is awesome that dh went out and did something fulfilling like that!  I hope he ends up helping his campaign so he has even more fulfillment!

Prayers for your ankle to heal quickly.

Sorry this is so short, but my furbabies and human babies are waiting for breakfast.  So I must run.  Have a great weekend!!

It is so easy to forget to drink water. I lug a bottle with me to work every day, so that helps.

I re-injured my ankle! I took the kids for a walk because Andrew was sad that his friend couldn't play. I got through the walk no problem, but when I got home and was across the street from my house talking to a neighbor, and then twisted my ankle and WOW did it hurt! Today I wrapped in in an ace bandage for work since I'll be walking a bit and giving a lecture. At least I managed to do some cleaning before re-injuring the ankle.

I'm taking Tuesday off of work. I'm going to sleep in, maybe take a nap during the day if the kids schedules allow, and go shopping for a bunch of stuff. (I probably shouldn't go shopping on my ankle, but my coupon might expire otherwise.)

Hope you had a great weekend!

Oh no to re inujuring your ankle!  I will be praying for it to heal.  Are you taking ibruprofen or anything.  I have heard ibruprofen reduces swelling.

I hope you are getting some good sleep this morning, and then get some good deals at the store!  I say just take it slow and easy.  You can't let those coupons expire!

I have a lot to do today.  I have to get the house ready for JJ's therapy because I may not be home at 12 when he has it.  I am taking Julia to get her hair cut at 10, and we may walk the mall and have some lunch.  This afternoon I have to go to the dentist for a filling.  :smileysad:  Somewhere in all that, I need to get garage sale stuff ready to drop off at the church tomorrow.  We have until Thursday to drop off, but they are pricing on Thursday and morning, so would like to get it there a little earlier.  I may have to skip cleaning bedrooms this week and just work on that.

I'm not taking ibuprofen for my ankle - icing it and the ace bandage are really helping with the swelling. The problem is that it won't really heal without me staying off it. Yesterday was rough in the evening because Dale had a football double-header and poor Andrew just wanted to be outside. He heard kids playing down the street, and he saw his favorite old lady across the street, and both times I had to tell him that I couldn't walk that far because my "foot is broken". Sweet Andrew kissed my knee both times and said "now its better Mommy".

I did get some good sleep yesterday - no naps though. And I did get some good deals shopping. Nothing crazy good, but still good savings. I bought Leah her first hair clips with my savings!

Hope you filling went okay - ugh I hate getting those done.

Will you make money from your garage sale stuff or will it go to the church?

I really need to go through my house and see what I can put together for a garage sale. I don't have the patience to run it myself, but my MIL does them occasionally. That of course brings up the issue of baby stuff, and I'm still not 100% sure we're done having kids. Good thing I have a big enough basement to hold all that clutter!

Awww, how sweet of Andrew trying to fix your booboo. :smileyhappy: I remember the first hair clips for Julia! They are so adorable. I have pictures of her first pig tails. They are sticking straight out from her head. lol We don't get any money for the stuff we donate. It goes towards the children's ministries at church. It's a win win. We get rid of things without going through all the work and we are supporting the church. Julia joins the kid's church next month. She is so excited to finally be in there with the big kids instead of in the preschool room. Dh made me get rid of baby stuff last year. :smileysad: I wasn't sure we were done yet, so it was very difficult. I still am not sure I want to be done. But I am more at peace with the idea now. We plan on getting a German Sheppard puppy in the future. I guess that will have to be my next baby. :smileywink: Today my grandma in law is being taken off the machines she has been on for over a year. She is not expected to make to tomorrow without them Dh is going to the hospital to be with his family. I have to stay home because we have nobody to watch the kids. I wish I could be there to support dh, but I also don't mind not being there while it happens.

Leah's hair sticks straight up in her hair clip too, but its still very cute. I should remember to take a picture when I do it next.

That's a great idea to donate stuff to church and let them sell it. If our church ever did that, we'd do that.

I'm not one of those women that wants a baby because of the baby stage. Well, maybe I am and I just don't know it yet. Its more about having more kids. But this week has been interesting. I had one day when it was just so clear to me that I didn't have the physical energy for more than 2. And these calm moments that I just enjoy Leah and Andrew and don't worry about all the "doing" of being a mom, just enjoying them. And thinking about what I have to look forward to with them, like school and sports.

After our pugs pass on, we are done with dogs for at least a little bit. DH says indefinitely, though I'm sure once the kids get bigger they'll want a dog and maybe they'll even help with one. You just had a dog die, right? You're probably going through dog withdrawal - I know my parents barely went 2 months before getting a new dog.

I'll be praying for your DH's family. That is so sad. I don't think I could be there either, but I've never been in that spot before. My grandmother was on a lot of machines after her strokes, but when she died, she somehow choked in her sleep. She was nearing the end anyway - she would tell my aunts that she could see her husband (who had died 40 years ago). I hope your grandma in law has the same comfort.

I still have moments of wanting another, but for the most part I am happy with the family I have.  Especially on the days when caring for JJ is such a struggle.  People don't realize how tiring he is to deal with on a daily basis.  My arms hurt every night from having to carry a struggling JJ whenever he disagrees with where I want him to go.  Thankfully, he has gotten better and is improving slowly.  At least he walks holding my hand now.  It was really difficult back when he refused to walk.  Whew!

Our big dog died a year ago.  She was my sweetheart.  We still have two Miniature Pinschers.  They were my babies before I had human ones.  :smileyhappy:  They are getting up there in age, 9 and 10 next month.  After they are gone, we want to get a German Shepherd.  I can't imagine a house without a dog, and I want one for protection because dh works nights.

Grandma in law passed yesterday afternoon.  She was very peaceful when she went.  Her husband didn't go to the hospital.  He stayed home with mil and her boyfriend.  It was just too hard for him to be there.  They have been married for 62 years.  I just can't imagine how hard it must be.

I don't have much time to reply, but I just wanted you let you know that I saw your post the other day and I"ve been praying for your in-laws and family.

I'm sorry I've been so bad lately. I've been overwhelmed.

Don't worry about it.  I haven't been on much the last few days myself.  The Wake was on Monday and the funeral was yesterday.  It was all so physically and emotionally draining.  Now today starts our new lives without her.  :smileysad:

I have a ton of housework to catch up on.  A lot changes next week, and I want it all in good working order before it happens.  With school starting, gymnastics starting, and I am going to start Julia in Girls Ministries at church, and put JJ in the 3 & 4 year old group.  Life is going to get a little more crazy around here.

Praying for your life to settle down a bit so you are not overwhelmed.
