Hi Leona! geesh, I'm already behind!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you too.

Dh is Mike. Adelaide will be 20 months in 2 days. Mike is a maintenance assistant here in Raleigh. I guess we're a little weird, we stopped going to our church because of some troubles there. We're probably considered really conservative. We've looked around at other churches around here but we can't find any where the women cover their heads and don't give you dirty looks when you don't put your child in the nursery. (2 things that we feel really strongly about). Although neither of us grew up in a brethren church I guess you could say we're "plymouth brethren". But I feel like we could fit in well at a Mennonite Church that was conservative. The one Mennonite church in Raleigh seems to be more liberal than I've ever heard of a Mennonite church ever being. So we just have a worship and bible study at home - breaking of bread included. Mike is really super shy - painfully shy. I want to invite other people to our 'house church' but we've not made the jump to invite anyone yet. He has his BS in intercultural studies (missions). He's even done 2 missionary trips. One to Naples, Italy (where his great-grandfather was from) for 3 months and the other to Odessa, Ukraine. Debt and now Adelaide stop us from doing full time Missions.

I'd love to travel, It must be fun for your Dh even though it's work. And it must be hard on you. That part I can't imagine! I probably rely on Mike's help too much! I used to live in International falls, MN there was a huge lumber business up there. Do you miss the cold? I do. This heat - ugh! I think if I were thinner it wouldn't bother me so much. I'm working on that though. :smileyhappy:

Four years old seems ages away - let alone 10! What was your favorite age that the boys went through?

Mike's has a week's vacation coming up next week. We're so excited! We live less than 2 hours from Wilmington beach and about 3 hours from Myrtle beach. My bff lives really close to myrtle beach so I'm not sure if we'll go there or not. She has been really sick and I don't want to expose Adelaide to that, so I guess that really is out now. Cape Hatteras is about 3 hours away too so that is a possibility too. We have a pool here at our complex so that really helps too. I guess I like both. But there's something about the atmosphere at the beach that I really love. The brightly painted houses and carefree attitude about time is so relaxing to me! It's funny how as an adult a trip to the beach seems like work! One of the things that we want to do is tent camp at one of the state parks at the beach. We have a tent, but we also have a a dog so he has to be able to go anywhere we do!

I'm sorry I didn't post sooner I didn't realize the assignments were up - duh!

Hi, the lists haven't been up long so no biggie.

Mennonite churches are really not that conservative anymore.

LOL I got a huge chuckle out of picturing you tent camping in central park! My first thought was that you might wake up to a wine-o in your tent...then my mind changed it to "they could wake up with extra bums in their tent"!

Well I guess the pms'ing was precursor to one of the worst AF's of my life.

I'm sorry that AF was such a crank this time. There are so many crazy factors, hydration and hormone surges - any possibility that you were PG? No matter what it was, It still stinks and I feel bad for you! Mine are all out of whack, I'm still trying to figure out if it's my weight or if it's the beginning of the big change.

I think I'd take Nova Scotia to North Carolina any day!

This was Mike's first vacation where nothing huge was going on. The first one was our wedding, the second was Adelaide's birth. Now this one. I can't help but wish it was a paid vacation. We blew our money way too fast eating out. (what a stupid waste!) We only went to the beach for - get this - an hour and a half! but we spent 4 hours driving to and from it! LOL We were really careful about Adelaide not getting burned but in that short amount of time WITH spray on sunscreen (spf30) Mike and I both got a bit of sun poison oh that goofy looking rash! I think we got in the water too fast and washed it off. DUH! Even though most of our vacation has been at home, it's been really fun just being together. It's just going way too fast.

Packing is such a pain in the neck. I'm forever packing this or that "just in case" who know when you might need a hammer on your trip right?? LOL Packing for 2 boys must be a lot more busy.

ugh, no wonder! For something so common UTI's can really mess a body up. Glad you'll be on the mend with ATB's though. I use a spray on SPF 30. If you have to use coppertone baby, anything so as to not get burnt and be in pain for your vacation! What day do you leave again? Will you have internet access or are you planning to stay as unplugged as possible? I'll be praying!

I would be afraid too. Have you checked out those monitors that go off if the baby stops breathing?
