Leona, good luck with the baby shower! I will be praying that everything works out perfectly.

I'm sure that packing up your kitchen was quite a feat, I know if we did that - yikes! I have too much kitchen stuff, lol.

I went to a baby shower this weekend. It was fun but it was a bit long. The games went on for about 2 hours and it was getting pretty hot and stuffy in the living room by the time the mom to be was able to get to the gift opening. I brought Elena with me and she was a spitfire, really kept me on my toes. By the time I got home I was pretty exhausted and ended up going to bed for a few hours because I couldn't keep my eyes open. I spent Sunday feeling like I was recovering from an illness. Blarg. It's about 'that time' it's kicking my butt this month.

Today was so rainy and depressing, the kids were both bored but there was no one to have a playdate with so we tried to make the best of it indoors. Lots of whining and crying going on, though. ;)

I'm getting so excited for Gabe's birthday coming up. It's on the 13th. :) On the 16th we are taking him to the zoo for the first time!

Let me know how the baby shower turns out! I'm sure it will be great.

I made applesauce muffins last night before bed and now the kids and I are enjoying them for breakfast. They are devouring them. :D Yumm

I will take a ton of pictures at the zoo. I am a picture fiend anyway. My poor kids never get away from the camera flash lol.

Hi Leona! Praying that all goes well and the install. Also praying for Shayne's travel to Canada tomorrow to go well. Sorry I haven't responded sooner, was kind of a busy weekend. We didn't 'do' much but DH is sick and then yesterday Gabe got a fever again. Sooo sick of everyone being sick! Gabe just finished his 2nd round of antibiotics day before yesterday! Grrrr

Gabe's 2nd birthday is on Wednesday, then we have the zoo trip on Saturday and his family party on Sunday. Please pray he is well by then so that we can still go to the zoo. He's never been before and I've been looking forward to it so much, I know that he would just love it.

So sorry I haven't been around Leona. We've been so busy around here I haven't stayed up with anything except FB.

Gabe's trip to the zoo went so well, he had a blast, but unfortunately by the end of it I could tell that he was still not feeling well. He was pretty miserable during his party the next day (so glad I had decided to keep it small with just family) and so we went into the ped the next morning and yup, ear infection. My poor baby! She put him on his 3rd round of antibiotics (bactrim this time) and referred us to an ENT to look at the possibility of tubes since he's had a continuous EI. I don't know how I feel about tubes yet since before 3 months ago he'd never even had an EI. His first one cleared just in time for him to get one in his other ear and that's the one that we've treated twice now. I don't know if tubes are warranted just yet...but I want to hear what the ENT has to say because if tubes are what is best for him then I don't want to avoid it just because it scares me. Hope that makes sense.

How did Robert's party at Chuck E Cheese go? Did enough people show up?

Are your countertops in? If so are you loving them??

Any specific prayer requests?
