I was sick over the weekend, so I didn't do anything.

Oh, I'm sorry you're still sick. I hate being sick and unable to rest because of obligations. I hope you're feeling better by now.

I think you have a good plan about the higher education. If you get the job, you might be taking on too much with a new job AND doing school at the same time. I think it's wise to see how things play out with the job first. And of course I'd always encourage you to volunteer with the animal shelter.

Gosh, your argument about pets sounds just like many that Erik and I have had and probably will continue to have. I'm really conflicted about it, because on the one hand, having pets in the house WILL make it more difficult to sell. When we finally decide to sell I'd like it to go as quickly as possible, so that we can ALL (pets and people) get in our new place. But at the same time, like you said, I'd hate to have to board them during the selling process. That would be soooo long, and probably very expensive. I'm just taking it day by day right now, knowing that we won't be selling for at least six months or so. I'm just praying that God will show me what to do when that time comes.

I am going to cut this short and take advantage of the fact that Leslie is napping and Erik is out of the house. I think I will lay down myself. Tonight Leslie's going to her grandparents for a few hours so I can do some sorting of stuff that we will be moving and stuff that's staying here. Sure will miss having babysitters 30 minutes away.

Is there anybody that would let the kitties "board" in their house until you can get them?

I don't know of anyone who would be willing to take in four cats.

Hi, Cindy. Sorry to be MIA the last several days. I really appreciate your prayers.

The move is over, although we only took about 1/4 of the stuff that was actually in our house. Just the main stuff - beds, clothes, drawers, table, couch. There's sooo much stuff left in the house.

Erik's doing his training this week, so Leslie and I are here at our house in TN. There's a lot of mess from the aftermath of the move, but I decided I've got weeks and months to deal with that, so I've been snoozing, watching TV, eating out, and just generally relaxing. It's been a pretty good couple of days. It's so weird to be here without our things. There's a lot left here, but we took the important things. For instance, I change Leslie's diaper on the loveseat because her changing table is gone.

The apartment is disappointing. It's not as good as the model we looked at - fewer closets, reeks of cigarette smoke, seems smaller. So many of the neighbors smoke, too. The night we stayed there, my throat and nostrils swelled up, my throat got sore, and I had to breathe through my mouth all night long. Leslie got some congestion, too. I truly hope it's not like that the whole time we live there. I hope it was just allergies that we can treat with Claritin or something. If it doesn't get better, I think we'll definitely be looking for a new place when our lease is up in October. But how can you guarantee you'll get a place where there were no smokers?

Tomorrow is my first OB appt. I'm hoping for a really good appt. to put me in better spirits.

I hope all is well with you. I guess it's too early to hear anything about the job? Have you thought anymore about continuing education?

Did you all have a good Easter?

I've got to get the recycling to the street. That's usually Erik's job, but since he's not here...

That's a good idea to get an air purifier. We knew the apt. we saw wouldn't be the one we'd actually live in, because it was just a model. But we did expect ours to have the same amenities like size and closets. I guess I'll give it a little while, and if it's still smelling like cigarettes maybe I can start looking for another apartment in another complex. I was thinking maybe we could look for a larger one anyway before the baby arrives.

Speaking of the baby... the OB appt. went well today. The heart rate was 144, and she said that was good. I can't remember what Leslie's was at that point, but I'm thinking it was 150-ish. I'm measuring a little smaller than what I thought, so the due date is now 11/25 instead of 11/23. Won't matter anyway, because I'll have another C-section.

It sounds like you have a really good outlook on whether or not you get the job and whether or not to do continuing education. Overall, I think it's smart to wait until your kids are both in elementary school. That's only a few years, and you would have so much more time.

Our Easter was fine. It was cut short because Erik had to drive to the city where his training is located, but Leslie got her basket and we had lunch with the family, so it was all good.

With Erik not here it's a little harder to find time to spend on the computer, and it seems to come late at night when all I want to do is crawl into bed. I'm sorry about that. But I'm exhausted, so I'm going to say good night.
