Did the treasurer ever call you back? I hate it when I miss a call that may contain important information!!!

Not much to update today. I guess Leslie and I will be joining Erik in Alabama Saturday or Sunday. This week has gone by soooo fast.

I can't remember if I told you or not, but I put an ad on care.com to try to find someone to check on my cats. I got about 30 responses! I am in the process of trying to weed out some of the ones that don't seem like a good fit, but that still leaves about 20 that I've got to choose from. My Mom is going to feed them next week, then I'm thinking I'll come back up the next week and narrow down the list and actually decide on someone. I haven't run that by Erik yet, but I'm hoping he won't mind. I think he's missed us while he's been in training.

Do you have any weekend plans?

Yes, it sounds like it's not an important call.

I think I would like to meet a couple of the potential pet sitters. I think I could do that if I came back home week after next. I do want someone who interacts well with them, but they're so shy that whoever I choose may not ever see them. They will probably just run and hide. At this point it's more important to me that they're reliable and will be here every day.

Oh, goodness, I hope the sleepover goes well. I hope they aren't too rowdy and allow you to get some sleep.

I am getting more and more sad about the move. It's been ok this week since I've been home, but I guess we'll go down to AL tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I just want to sleep. I think I need to find a dr. down there ASAP, because I can see myself slipping easily into depression.

Oh, also, we don't have cable, internet, or phone hooked up down there yet, so it may be mid-week or later before I get back on here.

I saw your post on Fb about poor JJ's eyes! That must be so uncomfortable! Yes, I'm glad you went ahead and called the doctor, too. I will pray that all of his sickness clears up very soon.

LOL at your sleepover snack and movie. At first I thought Spongebob Pirate's Booty was the movie :-), then I had to re-read. I'm glad they stayed relatively calm.

Ok, I better cut this short. I've got to get us both ready to head to AL, and there's a lot of stuff to put in the car. We are getting our cable/internet/phone hooked up on Thursday, so I may not be checking in until then, however I hope to find some free wi-fi hotspots in the evenings when Erik gets home from work. I can do ok without cable or phone, but internet is harder to live without.

How is JJ doing? Are his eyes better now? Heard anything on the job yet?

Our week has gone as well as can be expected, I guess. One of the toughest things has been going from our own home to an apartment. People are making noise upstairs, they walk right by our window to get to their place, all of the appliances are tiny and no bells and whistles, mgmt. has rules, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it's just nowhere near as private or high quality as our own house. Not that our house is luxurious or anything, but apartment stuff is just so basic.

I've tried to locate stores that I want to frequent, the park, the post office, and other places. I took Leslie to the park today, and like usual, the equipment is too big for her. It had a "tot lot", but that stuff was still too big. She bumped her head on the timber structures three times. I felt so bad for her. I guess we need to find a mall with an indoor play area. Those are usually more on her scale.

I was originally planning to go back home today or tomorrow, but I think I'll stay through Sunday so that we can all visit a church together. I have one in mind for our first visit.

I do have a prayer request. My brother Andrew is in physical therapy school, and he's about half-way through. He thinks he made a C on a test, and if he did, there's a very good chance he'll be kicked out of the program. I think he did kind of poorly in the class overall, so a C on a test would probably give him a C for the class. He's supposed to maintain a B average to stay in the program. Anyway, please pray that the professor is lenient, or that there's some way to restart the program. I think at one point there was a way to start the program again, but I'm not sure if that option still exists, and I'm not sure if any of the classes he's already taken will be valid if he does that. Also, I think he'd have to wait until Jan. to start over, so he'd have to find something to do between now and then. I think we're supposed to find out today what his fate will be. This is his second choice for a career path as it is, so I'm not sure if he's got a back-up plan. I think it will be devastating for him if he's kicked out.
