Ok, I guess I'm back. I feel better one day, then worse the next. I got a pretty good night's sleep last night, so I feel better today. I'm hoping this crud is on its way out!

I saw your post about the possible job at the kids' school! That sounds so exciting! When do you think a decision would be made? Would you have to come up with your own curriculum or is there one already in place?

I surprised some family last night with the pregnancy news, so that was fun. I'm very close to my cousin, who is just a month younger than I am, and who is also 14 weeks pregnant herself. I had Leslie wear a "Big Sister" shirt, and my cousin noticed it right off. That was fun!

Do you have plans for the weekend? We have the movers come for a walk-through next week, so I need to do some cleaning before that. I found out that the movers do all the packing, so all I'll need to do is direct them to what goes and what stays.

How is DH's grandmother? Any improvement?

Hi Cindy, just wanted to let you know I'm sick and don't plan to be on much over the next day or two. Leslie had the croup last week. When I took her to the dr. I asked if it was something I could get too, and she said yes, but it would affect me differently. I don't think I'm running a fever, but my throat is on fire and it feels swollen in there. Anyway, with a baby trying to grow in there and a month before I have health insurance, I'm planning to lay low until I feel better. Hope all is well with you!

Big news!!! I'm pregnant! I should have started my period today or tomorrow, and I usually have a little bit of spotting the day before I start, but nothing yesterday or today. So I tested just for the heck of it, not expecting a positive at all, and there before my eyes was a faint pink line! Wow, I'm in shock! My due date would be the day after Thanksgiving.

Ok, I'm calming down now. ;-)

Leslie loves Clifford! How did the kids like seeing him? Did DH get to go with you? Did Clifford talk to them or just stand there and gesture?

What is wrong with DH's grandma? I will keep her in prayer.

We got back from Alabama late Monday night. I was expecting to like some duplexes I'd seen online, but when we got there they were super tiny and they had no storage space at all. We did find a couple of apartments that are in the heart of shopping, dining, and close to the interstate, and that all appeals to me. With another little one on the way, though, I'm wondering if we should try to go back and look at some bigger places or just go with one of these. We are running out of time, I know. The movers have a three week lead time, so we really need to decide on something within a week.

How has your week been? Any weekend plans? My brother plays in a local band, and they have their first "gig" in a sort of big setting tomorrow evening. I'd like to go and support him, but Leslie is sick. She usually won't have anything to do with Erik when she's sick, so I'm hoping she'll be feeling better tomorrow and ok with him staying with her while I go hear the band.

I will definitely be praying that you find the perfect place, and that the move goes well!

Our current house is about 1600 sq. ft., and the biggest apt. we can afford in the new place is about 1000 sq. ft. Ok, so not quite half, but a significant drop in space. Would you be praying that God would prepare a place for us in Alabama? I ran into a couple of brick walls today as I was calling around to check the availability of several apartments, but I've got a list of three or four to look at when we travel there on Monday. The ones I like best are of course the most expensive. ;-) There's one duplex that's new construction, and it's actually close to the biggest city down there. I think I would like being near the city so that it's not so different from what I'm used to here, instead of out in the country away from shopping, dining, etc. There's also an apt. in the same city that has a fireplace, and we don't have one here, so it would be cool to finally have one. I'm feeling good about those two, but of course I want to be open to the less expensive ones, too. Anyway, would you pray that God shows us the place to live while we're making this transition?

That's great that the family is visiting a church, even if it's not yours. I pray that a seed has been planted and that they'll respond to the Gospel soon.

I don't have any big plans tomorrow, other than getting us ready to travel. When we return, I'll have to start helping Erik get ready to go on the mission trip to Mexico. I foresee lots of laundry!!!

Is there anything I can be praying about for you?

Why will you have to live in a place that is half the size of what you have?

I'm doing as well as can be expected, I guess. I am getting anxious to see the towns where we could be living. That will take out some of the uncertainty about the situation, I think. It's hard to know what is considered a "good" part of town without seeing it, but I'm not sure I'll know even when I see it. I do not look forward to renting again, I'll tell you that! I feel like the three of us are on top of each other in this house, so I don't look forward to living in a space that will probably be half this size. I am just holding on to the fact that I have the ability to drive up here most any time I want since I don't work.

So glad to hear you're doing so well with driving! I knew you'd passed your test, but I wasn't certain about how much actual driving you've done since then. Erik wrecked our 2nd car about a year ago, and having just one car between us has certainly hampered my freedom. I'm hoping when he starts working and we get some money coming in that the other car can get fixed.

We don't have any big plans over the next few days. Leslie is out with her grandparents right now, so I'm doing some research on apartments and playing a little on the computer while she's gone. Oh, how I will miss them just coming by to pick her up for a few hours! I think we're going to drive down to Alabama on Sunday afternoon and spend all of Monday looking around and looking for a place to live. Leslie will stay here with her grandparents. I've never left her overnight, so I'm not sure how that will go. I know I'll miss being away from her for so long :(

Anyway, what else is going on with you? I remember a family was attending your church that you'd hoped would try it out. Are they still attending?
