Woohoo!!! It's almost fall!!! I hope that you ladies have a great time getting to know each other better over the next couple of months :)

Here are a couple of questions to get you started:

Do the leaves change color where you live?

Are there any special fall events or festivals that you're looking forward to doing?

I'll try this quick reply thing... looks nice.

I got an email response of things to to try in terms of reading the posts, but I haven't had time or energy to try yet. I'll probably post it to my other thread when its done.

I got an awful cold today. Thank goodness I was at home and could take a nap. The bad parts were that the nap didn't help, and I still had to chase after Andrew much of the day, since DH takes advantage of me being at home to run errands (all important errands). Looks like Andrew is getting it too, but he doensn't have it as bad as me (yet). I also skipped revival tonight, which means I missed singing practice for Wednesday. It was DH's idea for me to stay home, and I'm glad he suggested it. Still going to try to go tomorrow because I have real singing practice and that isn't as optional!

You're doing better than I. I haven't even taken the time to LOOK for any solutions. I need to check my profile to see if there's a way to shut off replies or something. Does everyone else get 15 replies on every thread they contribute to?

So sorry you're feeling so bad. Almost every time I get a cold it goes to my chest and/or gives me laryngitis. Between BF and high BP I can't take much of anything for my colds either. Strangely enough though, I think I get over them easier w/o taking extra stuff. Anyway, get well soon!

Glenda,

There is a box on the right that is checked that says "email me when someone replies".

Hey, Leah,

I didn't want you to think I was neglecting you, but I have to scroll back to find one of your posts in order to talk to you.

Glenda, if it makes you feel any better about not having a "reply all" button, I did get an email alert about this post! I'm still getting email alerts about the other prayer threads I responded to too...

Praying for your foot-in-mouth disease. I have that problem occasionally. I have it less often on line when I can delete what I wrote though!

I think either white or off-white trim baseboards would match. Since we have new construction, every room in our house has white trim (still all with the same cream walls, but that will change one of these days), I think it looks nice. Also good luck with the t-shirt choice!

Update on my flight situation - after 3 different emails, that secretary still hadn't gotten me a flight! I finally reminded her yesterday in person and she looked at me like I was from another planet. So I did end up with a really lousy flight time. I have to fly through Philly to get to NJ, and on my way home, my layover in Philly is 3 hours long!!!!! Are you kidding?! And the price went up about $50 from when I was checking things out. Of course I don't have to pay, but still. So I am definitely staying home from work part of Wednesday so I could see Andrew. Another tricky thing is that DH has a doubleheader Tuesday night. My SIL will be here with Andrew, but I don't know if she'll be able to put him to bed.

Andrew had us up half the night again. No idea what was wrong. Last time he did this, I diagnosed it as upset tummy, but it didn't seem to be the same thing at all. Didn't seem feverish - I didn't take his temp, but he didn't feel warm. If he has my cold, his nose wasn't running, and his breathing was 100% okay, so that doesn't seem to be it. DH and I took turns which helped. DH gave him some milk, but then Andrew just wanted to play. Or he wanted to be held. Will be interesting to see how late he sleeps in. I overslept an hour, but that missed work time will just have to be okay. I guess I'll make it up in the Philly airport on Tuesday!

AHHH I hate this new ivillage, it's horrible!!! It is even slower than the old ivillage, the advertisments are huge and it makes me want to scream whenever I log on. By the time I get everything loaded and read, I need to leave and don't have time to post. If I leave ivillage open for too long, my entire internet explorer will freeze at some point.

Okay, done venting.

Thank you ladies for the prayers for my ankle. It is much better now and I didn't need to go to the doctor. Icing it and elevating it just seemed to make it worse (go figure) and the more time I walked on it and just went about my daily chores it started feeling so much better and now the swelling is totally gone.

Cathy, I'm sorry you are worried Andrew is regressing in speech. I remember when I was pg I couldn't wait to have Gabe so I could stop worrying (about m/c, still birth etc) then when he was born I couldn't wait until he was older so I could stop worrying about SIDS...the list goes on. We always seem to have something to worry about! A speech pathologist can let you know if he really has a delay or if this is just normal for him and that speech will come in time. If it is a delay, I hear early intervention is the best. I am going to discuss Gabe's speech with his ped at his appointment next week. He used to say several words that I haven't heard in awhile, like 'ball' 'doggie' etc. Yesterday I worked hard with him all day on talking. I think I finally got him to say something like "all done" but it wasn't clear so I'm not really sure. But I do know he understands quite a lot, because we got two brand new books yesterday with pictures in them and he could point to several of of the items when prompted on his first try.

Ugh and he just woke up crying and it's only been an hour. He only napped for an hour yesterday too. Bedtime was pretty bad because he was so tired and then he also didn't sleep well, he was up a lot of the night. I wonder if I should get his ears looked at, we did all just get over a cold. He hasn't been running a fever but it's unusual for him to nap so badly. I will try to catch up more later.

Glenda, sorry about your crazy week! Oh how I hate indecision - when everyone has an opinion, and they are all differnet, and no one wants to step up and just make the final call. I get that at work a lot. Drives me nuts.

I'm feeling better and better about the talking thing. I finally got to catch up with one of my good friends today, and she told her son didn't start talking until he was almost 2. And she always "bragged" (not really) about what a genius he was - she shared video of him with his shape sorting box.

Speaking of my friend, it was SO nice to catch up with her. Makes me realize how hard my job is when I don't have a Christian friend to share it with. I actually had to deal with a lot of political garbage today, but came home feeling really good because I spent an hour on the phone with my friend. PTL for her.

I am going to spend my night cleaning out my work email - oh fun!

Hey, Ladies,

I still have NO idea how or IF you can "reply to all" so I'm just doing what I can....

Ben has come down with some sort of "bug" and I'm not sure what's going on.
