February Prayer Chain

Ok ladies, there has been a serious lack in prayer requests lately.  The Bible says to pray for each other, so I wanted to try something new out.  Here's how it works...A person will post a prayer request.  The next person will pray for said person, then leave a prayer request of their own.  Repeat.  :)  It doesn't have to be a big prayer!  No prayer is too small for the Lord.  Don't feel like your prayer is less important then somebody else.  Lets see the Lord move this month ladies.  Laughing

Tim's doing well at school and better (most of the time) at home. I think by the time he gets out of school, he's a bit sick of being so good. ;) ;) Both kids cough a bit from the cool air or exercise, but otherwise are quite healthy. And while Ben is still (typically) easily frustrated himself, I'm handling it better and learning to take away what makes him upset when that's possible. Last night, he had a tantrum before supper and fell asleep, so he's probably finding his days can be a bit exhausting. Growing up is tough! ;)

Father, we pray for Julia and JJ's health. GIve them rest to fight the illnesses they're suffering and comfort when they have to stay at home instead of going out to school or social events.

I might need to take Ben to the doc, bad cough and poor sleep along with the cold (meaning poor sleep for at least one parent as well). On the praise side of things, Tim had a great Thursday at school and I'm hoping we're making a little breakthrough with his ability to handle frustration.

Lord, I ask for you to help Becca learn to deal with her anger in a healthy way. Help her discover her triggers, and how to handle it when it does arise. Thank you Father. Amen I feel like I am always asking for prayers for my kid's heath. But I must ask again. JJ is still sick, and Julia was sent home from school with congestion and ear pain yesterday. They are both headed to the dr today. We could use more prayer for health.

Lord, it's tough to wait on a child's development, particularly when there are delays. Show JJ's teachers and parents if there is more that can be done to help him. We ask for peace of mind regarding Your timing. Amen.

Tim is doing well so far with the new strategy of challenging him to accomplish more without frustration (and to accept disappointment, as in the case of losing a game he's played). Now we just keep at it!

Prayers needed to deal with anger as it arises. I read this quote from Ann Voskamp's site this morning: "Anger is a symptom of soul anemia." Wow, that really put it in perspective and also gives a clue where to turn. Then anger was mentioned as bondage or sinful behaviour in the Bible study book from my church group. Methinks God is telling me that He wants to deal with the problem instead of having me downplay it!

Lord I pray that you are able to give Becca the willpower to have the tough love that is needed for Tim. I also pray that you be with Tim, and help him make the proper decisions both home and at school. Amen I would appreciate some prayer for JJ and his development. He has made little steps in the right direction, and it is promising. But I would really love if things were moving along a little quicker. Prayers for God to perform a miracle on him.

Father, I pray for Cindy's children's health, that they would remain well enough to get to school every day and not have their days filled with visits to the doctor.

Please pray that Tim will become confident in his ability to handle whatever comes his way, and that he'll stop relying on negative ways to get attention. I didn't know things were bad at school, just frustrating on my end and a personality issue, but apparently he needs less "coddling" and more "tough love"!

God, we ask that you bring good health to everybody's in Becca's family, and help them all to get the rest their bodies need. Help them to get through a busy week. Amen. Prayers that I am able to get JJ's lungs cleared out without having to take him to the dr, and that Julia's new stuffy nose doesn't result in another asthma battle.

God, we pray for every step JJ takes towards independence, that the journey wouldn't be too rocky and all who care for him will have patience during the process. Thank You for your love and protection over our children. Amen.

Prayers for health and good sleep in our household for the next week. We've planned a visit with my parents on Friday and have other commitments for which energy will be needed!

I'll start us off with a prayer request.  JJ had started potty training, then he became sick and wasn't able to train for several days.  Please pray that he will get back to it and finally get out of diapers.
