Prayers for a friend with Meniere's Disease

A friend of mine just found out she has this disease. It causes dizziness, vomiting, inner ear issues and can lead to deafness. There's really not much they can do about it. It's a progressive disease and she could lose her hearing completely. She is one of the most wonderful Christian women I've ever known. She totally embodies what it means to be a follower of Jesus. She is always the first one to step up and help out no matter the situation. Of course, that is what she is most worried about right now, that she won't be able to help others as much.

Please pray for her, and for doctors. This apparently is a commonly mis-diagnosed disease, so maybe it's something else.

I'm not sure what I can for her besides prayers and offers of help. I figured, when in doubt bake. Help me to figure out what else I can do to be there for my friend.

Thanks

Aweee what a great friend you are! Praying is #1- maybe it's misdiagnosed, maybe it will progress slowly, maybe there will be treatments that can help-- maybe God will heal her :) I love the baking idea hehehe. And offering to help with things that might be difficult for her with her symptoms. Just being her friend and not leaving her alone in it is great (((hugs))) Praying for your friend!

I am so sorry to hear about your friend and i pray that she is healed from the condition and for wisdom for the doctors as she goes through any of the treatment. As for what you can do, the prayers and offers of help are great and i also suggest just being there for her as a friend and listening ear and also maybe just doing stuff (baking sounds great) without asking or offering because a lot of people might turn down offers of help but will be touched by blessings like acts of kindness.

Oh, and i hope that last part didn't sound bossy or preachy--sometimes it's hard to convey my rambles in writing

Lots of prayers! I also think baking is great and just offering to be there, to run errands or just be a listening ear!

I'm so sorry for your friend. I will keep her in my prayers. I will also pray for you to know when and how to help her when she needs it.

I'll be praying! She sounds like a real blessing. Makes me think of Paul and his thorn in his side.

Thanks for your prayers everyone. I brought her a casserole and some banana bread last night along with a card, she wasn't home but left with her son. Hopefully some little gestures will help her to know people are praying.
