I am so excited! A friend of dh was able to fix our heat in the car (which seemed a lost cause because the labor for replacing the heater core is insane) and there's also a new radiator in there (so no more leak there for now)

That's awesome! As I was reading this, I was thinking that I would probably hate the loss of defrost capabilities as much or more than the loss of heat in the car! So yeah...

I pray that this is just a small taste of the good gifts He has in store for you this year :-)

Thanks so much! It's exciting to see prayers being answered for each other--a nice tangible sign of God at work, especially where you mentioned it on facebook so my non-Christian friends can see Him :) I'm especially grateful for your prayers because i honestly thought it was just something that would never be fixed so i never really thought to pray specifically for that (mainly praying the car would keep running as long as we need it :)) So thanks again for the prayers from you (and everyone) and woohoo for me testing it out today :) And i'm super excited because december was fairly mild but today it's only in the 30s and tomorrow i think we're only up to the 20s!

Yeah, the lack of defrost was the scariest and most inconvenient. It did help me to learn some creative problem solving but now i'm so glad i'll be able to see out my windshield!

Lol! I thought of trying that but the power inverter wouldn't handle that kind of electrical output. I did learn that a rubbing alcohol and water solution melts ice but that the windshield can refreeze while driving if there's no defroster :p
