2T Check In - August
| Wed, 08-01-2012 - 7:51am |
I don't know about you ladies, but I am surprised that it is already August. This month brings a lot of sun and heat with it. Check in here and let us know that you are making it.
How do you plan on keeping cool this month?
Do you enjoy swimming?
What is your favorite cold drink?

I plan to keep cool by staying inside, as I've done all summer. I'm not a fan of warm weather. At all.
I kind of enjoy swimming. What I really like is to take a dip, get out and read a magazine by the pool, then get back in when I get too hot.
Favorite cold drink - Hmmm... I've got several - cherry Coke, cherry limeade from Sonic, sweet tea.
I am doing well, aside from some swelling in my feet that make them hurt, and some pain in my back and hips that comes and goes. I have my 24 week appt. later this week, and hubby gets to come along for the first time! Four weeks after that I'll have my one-hour glucose tolerance test, which I really hope I pass so I don't have to mess with the three hour test. Other than that, things are moving right along. This pregnancy is going pretty fast.
This pregnancy is going by really fast! I think the summers always fly by anyway, so being pregnant in the summer is great in the fact that there seems to always be something to do, which = a quick pregnancy. But not so great in the fact that I'm always dripping wet with sweat
I plan to keep cool by staying inside, too. July was so cool for Texas, but August is making up for it. I think it's at least 104 most days. Not good for a girl who's deodorant fails her.
I love to swim! But my thighs have gained some serious hail damage with this pregnancy... not that they were shapely to begin with, but now... there's no way I'd get into a swim suit! I just wish we had our own pool! I'd be out there all day long
Drinks- Coke Zero & unsweet tea from Sonic. I usually love Perrier, but I'm not really loving it this pregnancy.
I'm feeling pretty good, I guess. I have heartburn a lot, and I've had a time or two that I worried about being in pre-term labor, but it turned out to be okay.
I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and had my Glucose test. The baby's heart rate was great (in the low 150's), my blood pressure was good, my fundal (sp?) height was right on target, and I passed my GTT! Jennifer, you already know this, but I could type that out all day long! Lol!

Oh! And this is my very last week of 2T! The next Check-In, I'll be in 3T! I'm so excited! Ahhhh!
3T!!! Is this pregnancy going by as quickly for you as it seems to be for me? As of Sunday, there's 91 days until Baby Brother's arrival, give or take a day. Since I'm having a C-section I can be fairly certain of that. It is crazy how fast this is going. (And unfortunately we're still calling him Baby Brother. Just can't settle on a name.)
Yep, it's flying by! And today is officially the 3rd trimester! My nurse said last week was (week 27), but most of the pregnancy sites say it starts at week 28, so here I am!
Did I tell you guys that Russell FINALLY decided on Robert for a middle name? So we now have a little Noah Robert
The name Joel will have to be left for someone else... unless we have another little brother hiding in there somewhere
Don't fret too much about baby brother not having a name. If it comes down to the wire, Aunt Theresa will name him
You just call me from the hospital and I'll get you hooked up! Hahahahaha!
I'm so excited for us! We're almost there!
Hee hee. That reminds me that MIL was named after waiting for an answer to a letter sent to their nurse's mother. I'm not sure how long Hubby's grandparents had an unnamed baby girl, but they trusted the nurse's word that her mum could provide a great name, which turned out to be Daragh.

Both of those stories are funny
My MIL went a long time without a name too. Her grandmother finally named her, but she only gave her a first name
