OOPS. I posted yesterdays appt update in the december thread LOL

Recap is the u/s went fine. Kidneys are fine & his measurements are to the day- so good. Pic is on FB or in the december thread ;)

I forgot to mention the tech was a little flaky on checking the placenta. She claimed she couldn't see my bladder- had anyone told me to drink lots of water beforehand? Well no they didn't because at this stage I thought they could see everything fine without that (BTW I went pee rgith after just fine so I think she's just silly). Anyways baby is so low in my pelvis that she really couldn't get a good angle on the cervix to see if the placenta had moved out of the way. So she says well.... it probably moved up out of the way, they usually do. Well goody for "usually" but you are supposed to confirm that because no one needs a dilating cervix if the placenta is in the way. So I'll ask my doc if they want to do a quick repeat at some point. They have a machine at the office so it shouldn't be hard to do. I'm sure it's fine but good grief.

Tsk tsk on the flaky tech. I always had too much in my bladder when I followed the instructions given, so I usually drank less or started later than required. And sometimes I still had to empty before they could get a good pic. Oy.

I'm glad you can get a repeat with the doctor to be sure everything's okay.

I haven't updated in so long, I'm sorry! I am on my phone so please forgive typos.

Angie yay for a great scan! But sorry about the flaky tech. That would irritate me too. Kind of important info to know!

I'm 35 weeks today. Had a scan a couple weeks ago to check on baby and everything looks good. Lily was measuring approximately 3 lbs 12 oz, though I know that's just a guesstimate. Torso and femur measurements put her right about average and head circumference was small - totally normal for my babies, both Gabe and Elena have heads that are barely on the growth charts. Tiny heads like their mommy (I wear child size glasses...). The tech double checked and said 'definitely' a girl lol. He was such an awesome tech too, he showed us everything he was doing, explained all the measurements he was taking and pointed out cool things like Lily sticking her tongue out. Never would have caught that on my own lol. Lily looks good and fluid levels were normal at 11 (normal is 10-15 I guess). He still couldn't get a decent profile shot. Lily is stubborn. But we did get some fun shots of her face directly. Will have to scan and post later.

At my appointment following the scan everything looked good, I was measuring a little 'behind' at 30 cm instead of 32 but OB wasn't worried since clearly Lily is growing. Had another appointment yesterday and I was measuring 34 cm so I've caught back up. :) BP was good at 94/60, weight gain is 33 lbs and Lily's heart rate was about 135.

My OB said that all the BH contractions I've had will hopefully mean I'll deliver a little earlier this time, but we're both still not considering me 'due' until I hit 41 weeks, so Feb 17th. Lol. Better to not get our hopes up! ;)

Oh and I second not drinking what they ask you to drink. I forgot that it was too much at my 20 week scan and I had to pee right before the scan, I just couldn't hold it. The tech could still see everything perfectly and I had to pee again before the scan was over. This time I drank 12 oz. The tech remarked how good I did at drinking water, that my bladder was nice and full lol. It was full too, I still had to pee before the scan was over lol.

February 17th is a good day :D Hehehe My birthday ;) I'm so glad Lily is measuring well- so fun to get to see them again! How are you feeling? I can't believe you are 35 weeks!!!

I was measuring 3 weeks behind by fundal height at my 31 week appointment but he was measuring right on in the u/s at 32 weeks- so those are even more of a guess since they can be curled up or whatnot.
