Angie that is very frustrating. I would ask your OB what she meant by it was fine, whether she actually saw it on the scan herself or just read the report. I would hate for something bad to happen due to negligence on your OB's part. :(

I did ask about the placenta. I told the NP who did the exam what the tech had told me and she was concerned too so said we'd pop right over to the u/s room & take a quick peek ourselves. After I got dressed again she came back & said my OB said there was no need to check, she had personally reviewed the report and it was fine. I don't know whether that means she looked at pictures and verified it was fine or whether it was a word entry that said it was fine. I feel like a broken record bugging them!!!

Bright red bleeding is always scary. I'm glad things look ok, and hope you are taking it easy.

I had a fun day yesterday. Had my 38 week exam and everything is good. No weight gain this week (quite surprising with all the cookies I consumed!), BP 90/60 again yada yada yada. OB did an internal exam and I'm 2.5-3 (she said not quite 3) cm and about 50% effaced. Last week I was pretty thick so some improvement there. :) Lily's head is also lower. Last week she was still floating up high and now she's between a -2 to -1 station. OB offered a sweep and I said sure - mostly because I didn't think it would do anything. The sweep was not painful but low and behold by evening I started bleeding bright red. It was not heavy, somewhere between spotting and a light flow maybe. It kind of worried be because I wasn't sure what was normal bleeding after a sweep but a friend (and you lovely ladies on the FB page too) were able to reassure me. It slowed overnight. I had nothing early this mourning but as I started being up and on my feet more i had a return of spotting and mucous discharge (sorry for the TMI!). I've had bloody tinged mucous just about every time I've wiped today but it slowed down this evening and is mostly gone I think. I've had some sporadic contractions today but I was very busy. We've for a walk around the block with the kids in the stroller this morning, played and ran around outside with them a lot (it was a beautiful day and we took advantage of it!), cleaned like a mad woman before a friend came over for a last minute visit. So I was a busy woman. Now I'm downright exhausted. I just spent 2 hours in a bath (had to re-warm it once lol) and now I'm off to bed.

I'm sorry for any typos/misspellings. I'm on my phone and too tired to proof-read.

Quite a day Angie!! I'm glad everything is okay.

This makes me wonder about your placenta again though, since you said the tech never really saw it to confirm it is no longer close to your cervix. Might be worth asking your OB about again.

Exciting day! Not. More like exhausting!

Had my 35 week appointment this morning, fast, easy, nothing really to do. In & out stuff. Went to lunch & the hobby store with Dh & Kiddos. Then DH dropped me, Hannah & Caleb off at Super Target to get groceries while they went to get the oil changed on the van. Decided a potty break was in order before we began shopping ........ and discovered I was spotting bright red. Gah. DH's phone was dead so I couldn't just call him. I called the docs office & they wanted me to come back in. I decided getting groceries still was not a good idea in case we had to be out a long time & leave them sitting in the car so we browsed & then relaxed in the cafe.

Got alllll the way back to the doctors which is quite a ways and like an hour in rush hour traffic. They did an exam and couldn't tell where blood would be coming from. I was dilated no more than 1 & thin but this is #4 and that's not remarkable. They had me do an NST and baby's HR & movement was all fine. I did have 2 contractions during the 20 minutes but apparently that's no big deal. Sent me home with directions to take it easy, no heavy lifting or strenuous activities & call if the bleeding gets worse.

Soooo :) Things *look* fine but a bit dramatic ;)
