If you guys were like me, fairly soon after getting the bfp, it was time to start looking at all the baby gear.

I haven't ever used baby powder with Xander.

we didn't use the bumbo much with Xander...he wasn't all that into it...but I can see how it will be more useful with Xavier.

Xander was not much of a swaddler and I had some blankets that I really liked that I used with the swaddling we did do.

I love the monitor we have.

Bouncy Seat- Another place to put baby down that cradles them. Actual bounce action is preferred to vibration or swinging motions here but every baby is different.
Swings- We did have a cradle swing this time mainly to get her up off the floor with 2 boys running around LOL......but she outgrew her amusement with it once she could sit up~ 4 months. I loved it while it lasted though. The boys HATED swings.
Bumbo- Had one the first time with Hannah (#3) and OMG I/she loved it! She could sit up & see what was going on without tipping was always really content in it.
Twilight Turtle/Lady Bug- We have one in her room & makes a handy night light when I need to do things in the middle of the night.
My room is right next to hers so I don't need a monitor now but when we used one we had this super cool one that monitored separate rooms all at once & it was awesome- I could listen to both boys rooms at once. I don't know if they make it anymore. I also liked the ones that vibrate when baby cries but not for soft sounds. I could turn the sound down so I didn't hear every sniffle but it would wake me up by vibrating if they cried. Best. Sleep. Ever.
Ventaire Bottles & Mylicon Drops = Happy baby bottles.
Baby Bjorn worked fabulous for us, baby was nice & secure instead of the sling that I still had to be really careful with. I did like the mei tei but again, not as snug as I would have liked. If I have more babies I think I'll spring for the Ergo.
Diaper Genie was a waste of money. It still smelled & the refills were expensive & a pain. Much easier to just use a grocery sac or ziploc for 'loaded' diapers to help with the smell until the regular garbage went out.

A changing table isn't always necessary.
With Ben, it was an even shorter time with the change table because I felt more comfortable bending over him on the floor than the table, plus the height and rolling issue were going to be factors eventually. I used a different mat this time and the table has once again become a shelving unit, with the top for storage of diaper changing items.
