So was my MIL. It was probably more than a few days because the nurse wrote to her mother for a name suggestion and MIL's parents waited for the reply!

We went through the same thing with names. Very difficult!

Yeah, we thought about changing the spelling but since it was after my grandma's family, we decided to go with "ee" and figured he'd just have to spell it right for a few people a few times in his life. Hahaha
I like Violet but I have two friends with baby girls with that name. Soo, yeah. I like Noelle and Jocelyn but DH is not stoked about either. What makes me so nuts is I will give him suggestion after suggestion and he just "meh"s all my suggestions but doesn't offer ANY help or ANYTHING he likes. I. might. kill. him. haha

Yeah, I think we talked and there's just no convincing DH to get past the alien thing. AND the dragon from Pete's Dragon (grumble). So now we are leaning toward Lucas Reed, almost for sure. Now if this is another girl. . . .yeeeeeeaaaaah. We'll have a lot of hash out. I refuse to wind up like my cousin who had an unnamed baby in the hospital for 3 days. LOL

I like Lucas Reed or Reed Elliot :) Lucas was on my list but DH nixed it. Reed is unusual enough to be cool no matter where you place it. Elliot is cute but not my style for a first name.

I like any of those combinations. He might get people trying to spell it Reid if it's the first name but middle names don't come up as much so there'd be less correcting needed as a middle name.

Suggestions for girls names to get you start on what you might like or not like: Rebecca (I had to!), Amy, Danielle, Amanda (my younger sis, hee hee) and Violet. Those are all ones that I love and I haven't looked up the meanings at all. You can do that if you consider them. ;)

I love the name Reed. I wanted to use it for this baby if it's a boy, but I got out voted. I think Elliot Reed sounds so nice together. We're in the same boat with names, too. Only we can't begin to think of a girls name. I've got the boy's name down, but if she's a she, we're in big trouble!
