Have you been hit with any of these or worse? I'd love to hear how people react to your belly.

That's a good list! I did get the twins comment a lot since I had a really big baby bump. The worse comment I received was when I was pregnant with Julia. I said something about always being hungry. Somebody actually called me Hungry Hungry Hippo. Somehow he survived the comment.

OMGoodness, Cindy!! I guess he had a lot of redeeming qualities to survive that one!

When I was pregnant with my first I said that I couldn't clean the cars at work anymore because it was causing extreme back pain (sciatica pain). The lady who cleaned the shop said that I wasn't that pregnant and it couldn't possible cause me any pain yet.

This was a lady who had never had children in her life......and so I asked her, "have you ever been pregnant?" and she obviously answered now and then I said, "then you have NO clue as to what a womans body goes through during pregnancy!" She kept her mouth shut after that. ;)

And this time my DH said that the baby needs to hurry up and be born because I'm so cranky! He's lucky that I didn't rip his head off! I probably wouldn't be so cranky if he didn't say stupid things like that instead of helping around the house with the kids and chores.

Oh my!! I'm glad you said something to her! I wonder how much unsolicited advice she had already given out.

I hope you tell DH too - they don't always seem to connect grumpiness with lack of help around the house ;-) I truly believe that Men are from Mars thing - how else could they not see something right in front of their face?

Yikes Ashley. I'm glad you spoke up to that lady!

Andy - Actually no this guy doesn't have many good qualities! Obviously it wasn't my DH that said it. Not only was he very supportive when I gained way too much weight, but he would never say anything like that to me. This was actually said by the father of the girls I babysit. I often have to fight an urge to yell at that man.

I didn't appreciate "You're NOT very big." I mean, is there some magic size I'm supposed to be? Are you saying my baby's too small?

Also, I didn't appreciate people assuming out loud that I was morning sick all the time. I had virtually no symptoms of pregnancy during the first trimester, and it actually kind of scared me. I didn't need other people playing on that fear.

A very good list! I had a few of those...

...but the absolute kicker was an elderly gentleman who told me that I should starve myself so that I would have a small baby who would be easier to deliver.

Yikes to the comment that you couldn't be far enough along to have symptoms--with Peanut my sciatica pain was horrible in the first trimester and thankfully got better a little further on. And ugh to dh complaining about crankiness...lets see him carry around a baby while taking care of two kiddos

Ugh to people assuming that you were morning sick-almost like they want you to be miserable :(
