Three day weekend here for Miss Ava--  so it will be nice (hopefully, LOL).   No news here.....    but you'll laugh at this.  So, Ava has swim lessons on Thursdays---  it's this guys pool in his backyard (it's covered in a bubble and heated)-- we've been going for years and he's AMAZING.  Anyway, there's another mom that comes and her 2 older girls sit and do their homework.  Yesterday, the one girl (about 12) was eating a grapefruit out of a glass bowl and you guessed it....  it dropped and broke and shattered.   I'm sure some got in the pool, but anyway we are trying to pick up the shreds and I say... oh, I'll be right back, as I have a roll of duct tape in my car Cool  Yup, I'm that kind of person--  like boy scout, always prepared (LOL).  Anyway, it worked like a DREAM !!!   So--  just a reminder to keep duct tape in your car at all times !!!

LYDIA !!!!!!!!!!!!    Oh it was so great to see your post !!!!!!     Whatever is new on the farm these days?????    (and I love to use duct tape for when you get a sliver...  or it's genius if you ever have a planters wart...  although it takes like a month, the wart will peel right off eventually !).  When I worked for 3M, for years I sponsored a high school in Greybull, WY  for years supplying them CASES  (how do I remember these things??) of  3M Duct tape and they had a art contest---  even made it on the Today show one year-- so creative what they would do !!!!  Of course, I remind everyone that cheaper ISN'T better when it comes to duct tape....  you want to get the expensive, 3M Scotch duct tape-- it's a true cloth duct tape (aka you can tear it easily)... 13 mil in thinkness (most are around 8) and the adhesive is the best.   Funny, I sound like a sales person again, LOL

LOL, you know your stuff!

On the farm....time to buy a new (to the farm, so really used) tractor. That's almost ALL I've been hearing about. FIL is the one who's buying it. DH and BIL have been researching and traveling to look at tractors for weeks now. There was great debate about one and finally MIL told FIL she'd had enough and just buy it already! It'll need new tires, but hopefully not for 1-2 years (FX).

Other than that, MIL & FIL are on my list. Yell We CD DS and MIL is convinced this is why DS hasn't crawled. Never mind that I didn't crawl and that DS is walking when he holds your fingers. MIL actually said she hopes DS's legs "won't be too deformed" because of the CD. WTH?! She CD at least 2 if not all 4 of her children! Thankfully DH is with me on this one and has backed me up with telling them that crawling isn't a developmental milestone, DS is just fine, and then he looked into scholarly articles to see if he could find anything on the subject just to put it to rest. Closest he could find was one study that looked at walking with the old fashioned CD (prefold style maybe?) versus sposies versus naked and the results were...every baby is different, but naked resulted in better walking ability than non-naked and trimmer was better than bulkier diapers. Even at that I don't think the differences were all that big. So....whatever! MIL is using sposies she has 'left over' (not sure if I believe that) which give DS a rash so I have to use CD safe diaper cream when he gets home. Not a big deal, but still...arg. I will have to buy more soon if this keeps up.

Mmmm, DH is making waffles (whole wheat flour with chocolate chips) and says they are ready. Yum! I love that man!!

Your MIL needs a wake up call. Some babies just skip crawling all together which it sounds like LO is doing. We cloth diaper and it made no difference. Glad your DH is backing you up on this.

How are you doing after your surgery? Hope it was an easy recovery.
