I agree. You shouldn't burn a flag....BUT Whitney mania was waaaay too much. As far as I am concerned, she put herself in a downward spiral and the last 15 or so years of her life were embarassing and not worthy of recognition. I think it sends the wrong message to kids today. Remember the people who are good role models and who made a difference. Otherwise we are basically saying that you can do one memorable thing and the rest of your life can be wasted and you are a great person. It's the whole person and how they live, not the achievement. Thanks for the vent!
