The other night Qgirl (age 6) came out of bed bawling and hysterical. "I have something to tell YOuuu.,.... I lied" and in a fast paced squeaky voice and tears said that little E in her class asked her over and over again if she was a christian. Q said she tried and tried to avoid the question and then finally lied saying "YEs I'm a christian". I asked her is she is a christian? She said "NO I don't believe in a man in the Sky..." LMAO. I said it's okay that you lied to protect yourself. She said everyone in the class believes in God except her. I said that's probably not true and that they like her want to fit in and say they do. And the strangest part is I am pretty certain the girl who was asking Qgirl the question is a Muslim.
I thought it was interesting that she felt the need to lie about such a thing this day and age. She does though understand that we are okay with people believeing in things different than we believe sadly she also knows that not everybody feels the same way.
