I feel that way every time someone calls for prayers after some major tragedy. I REALLY have trouble with people who stand in the middle of some huge destruction that has killed many and say "God" saved them. What...are they special over the baby that was killed right next to them? And while I am on the subject...When someone overcomes some major hurdle in their lives (addiction, poverty, etc...) and then they give all the credit to "the man upstairs" it just galls me. Any time I have powered through some rough time it was ME who did it...not some invisible being in the sky.

Sorry, rant over...

Listen, RANT AWAY! I totally agree!
I can't stand prayers at sporting events either...like a supreme being CARES about a basketball game...
Sheesh.
