I'm a "faithful" Glee viewer. My problem with the atheists is that they had personal reasons, more or less, for not believing. Sue, because God didn't answer her prayers and Kurt, because most churches condemn gays. For once, I'm waiting for a show to depict an atheist as someone who came to the conclusion that God doesn't exist, because the Bible is full of contradictions or some other reasoned explanation like that.

I found the episode frustrating. It focused on the atheists becoming more tolerant of the religious but not vice-versa. None of the characters were really trying to offer comfort the way the atheist needed comfort (just listening, holding his hand, being there.) They wanted to comfort him how THEY are comforted by going into the hospital room and praying for the father, bringing the atheist to church, singing religious songs.) In the end, the atheists offerend tolerance to the religious but the favor really wasn't returned.... unless you want to count not stoning the guy as tolerance.

I liked what he said about his faith being in his father... this is how I feel, I poor my faith into the people around me. I liked Sue's turning around the "keep it to yourself" line back on the deliverer. Otherwise, just a bit frustrating.

Hey Shay! Interesting new look.

I liked the Glee episode except for the whole Angry Homosexual misfit non believer nonsense and the fact that the do gooders disrespected Kurt's request that they not pray for his Dad. The fact that he had to continue to me more open minded and resilient/accepting than the christians were! Other than all that it was Great!LOL!

Talk of everyone being more open minded might have been a nice change for TV...( SUe addressed that but not with the impact it deserved.)

But I did LOVE Kurt's church hat! Spectacular!!!

Yes. It's on Fox. It's about a group of misfit kids in Glee club. It's normally a good show, but they really stereotyped atheists and even Christians. But the Christians I know didn't seem bothered that they were portrayed as pushy and intolerant of Atheism. Hmm. Makes ya think.

I didn't like before how you could only access your "favorite" boards after actually going into one of the other boards. Now I can't find the option at all. How do you view your favorite boards? There should be an option near the log in.....
