Happy new year, everyone! I hope you are all settling into the New Year. This first "normal" work/school week after the holidays has not been fun. Ian had a hard time Monday and Tuesday mornings, fresh off his "daddy high" from the previous week. And Brian wasn't exactly thrilled about going back to work. He wore his cranky pants two days in a row. Thankfully, both of them are better now. Phew!

How did you celebrate Three Kings Day yesterday? Did you do anything special? We didn't do anything extraordinary, and I'm kicking myself. I completely forgot to plan any kind of activity for the kids. As a matter of fact, I lost track of my days and didn't realize what day it was until I saw that there was a marathon of Dora the Explorer: Dora Celebrates Three Kings Day on Nick Jr. Lovely, huh? I need to start putting all of these holidays into my calendar so I can get a reminder.

Lol! I celebrated by getting my washer fixed ( it wasn't agitating). And the day before I had to re-light the pilot on the hot water heater. Actually I had to get my neighbor to come and do it-I tried but couldn't do it- so much for being a modern independent woman! Anyway all my appliances are now in working order again
