AAAAACK! MIL is visiting - NEXT week!!

There is so much going on now with end of school year stuff, dh's retail schedule, my merchandising schedule picking up big time now, and add to it my preggo-ness. I haven't recovered my house from the 1st trimester BLAAAAAHs, and while I have the 2nd trimester nesting urge, I do NOT have the 2nd trimester energy! I'm hoping they stop in South Carolina a few days before heading to my house so I can make a headway on the mess.

I wish I had a mil to come visit me. Dh's mom died before we even met.... and his dad's new wife (okay she's not new since they've been married 20 yrs) is not exactly friendly or grandmotherly toward the children..... and they rarely rarely visit us..... and we dont get invited to their house.....
so I guess what I"m saying is try really hard to be thankful

Just try to remember that your MIL is coming to visit your family, not your home. She should understand that you are a busy, pregnant lady. Try to relax and enjoy the visit.
That said, after 25 years I feel I still don't live up to MIL's "standards". I hae finally decided I really don't care. My mil is very critical and downright mean. It is getting worse as I think she is getting early Alzheimer. She had NO filter anymore and just blurts out whatever is on her mind. Most of which is pretty nasty.
Just put your MIL to work when she comes! ;)
Hope her visit is a nice one.
