Adoration at 3 Churches Tonight

Does anyone do the traditional pilgrimage at night on Holy Thursday to 3 Catholic churches for Adoration?

My husband and I did this a few years ago, and it was really a beautiful way to start off the Triduum. We are hoping to go again tonight. I'm waiting to hear if the neighbor girl can come babysit, since there is no school tomorrow. We will go to the Chrism Mass of the Lord's Supper tonight, but it is so nice to go back out and go to Adoration.

That sounds like a very peaceful way to spend Holy Thursday.

Thanks for the reminder; I think I will do that. My daughter and I are going to our parish's Holy Thursday Mass of the Last Supper (my husband will sit this one out - I think it will be a little long for my son.)

My daughter is altar serving - she's the thurifer (in her words, "incense girl").

I have done it before, but last night stayed at our parish.

Ruth, did you know there's a parish here with Perpetual Adoration? Email me through my profile and I can get you the information on it. You can take Gabriel with you, it's an excellent means to teach him about Adoration etc. I have a friend that took her granddaughter when she was 3 or 4, and it happened to be just the two of them there at that time. She was able to show her granddaughter around the chapel, and answer any questions the little girl had without disrupting anyone else in the chapel. As they were finishing their visit, another person arrived.

I've never heard of going to three churches on Holy Thursday.

<<<I'm not going to make nine of them but I am going to take the kids to see pretty old churches--we go to suburban box.

I had to chuckle at the "I've seen prettier" and your comment about being spoiled by living in Europe. I would love to travel around the country and the globe to visit the various cathedrals and shrines etc. It's not something my husband would want to do, but
