My beliefs on the subject seem to be unusual here in Germany - most couples "live together" before marriage regardless of what the Church officially teaches. The last Catholic church wedding I went to nearby had a bride 7-8 months pregnant. A couple weeks ago, our bulletin announced a wedding and a baptism the same day - I believe it was a couple and their child. Divorce, on the other hand, seems to be considered worse here than in the States, but that could very well be a generalization because I don't know many divorced Catholics.

I think it's important to be able to share your values without others judging you or feeling like you're judging them. If you find yourself feeling guilty or worrying about how others perceive you, it'd be a good idea to pray about why that is and maybe talk with someone about your feelings - whether it be a priest or simply someone you look up to. As Christians, we should all strive to accept others and leave the judging up to God. So that being said, welcome to the board!

Hi and Welcome.. I read where you and he are getting married, Curious, Are going through PreCana? My SIL (not Catholic) and her Catholic fiance are getting married in the church in December, They are meeting with the priest pretty regularly now. I don't know if their living arragnements come up or not but they do share eachother's homes, They do not have children together but he is divorced and she has grown children with a man she never married.. Ask your priest questions, i'd be interested in the answers too!

I didn't live with my hubby before we married, but that was only because we were international and we couldn't get around immigration until we married. Before we married, we spent weekends together and attended the church in my neighborhood. No one ever asked about the sleeping arrangements (and we did start marriage prep at this same church.)

Do you have any couples that live together and attend your church?

Honestly, I have no idea.  I don't care much about other parishioners' living situations.  Is it a big deal to you what others think about yours?
