another great CRHP retreat!

As many of you know, I took the CRHP retreat at my parish 3 years ago. CRHP (pronounced 'chirp') is Christ Renews His Parish. I almost didn't go, but knew the frustrations being put in my path were meant to prevent me from going, and I had to fight through those. It has been a TREMENDOUS blessing in my life, and to my family. It means so much to me that I clear my calendar for the retreat weekends, and spend as much time as I am needed up at the church to help make it just as special for those attending, as it was made for my weekend. I typically don't get up early enough to be there for breakfast with the participants, but this time I did. I am so glad I did. I got to talk to a couple of them, and make a connection to them in a way that left an impact. Some of the ladies on the presenting team shared feedback with me, and it made my day. As the participants departed for home, they seemed so filled with joy they were radiating. Several people kept telling me to sit down and take it easy, but I just couldn't unless I honestly felt I needed to sit. It's such a joy for me to be there and share part of the experience, even though it's been long enough that my team isn't directly assigned a part of the work to make it happen. I really feel like it's my job to be there for nothing else than to spread some sunshine and help where needed. It doesn't hurt that the food simply ROCKS. Quite honestly, you get very well fed in every sense of the phrase at a CRHP weekend.
Attendance was lower than it could have been, but we know that with God's guidance, we'll make it work.
Then I got home and was utterly exhausted. But it was so worth it. I got online Monday and the board had been busy over the weekend. I have other updates, but it's late and I need to move along.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
