We're near Chicago, and we are feeling the effects of Sandy.  It just shows how huge this storm was/is.  We have 30 foot waves in Lake Michigan, and that never happens.  I took the kids yesterday to the lake shore to see the waves and take some photos.  Today, the waves are supposed to be even bigger because the winds are even higher today than they were yesterday.

BIL and his family are near DC.  I asked DH last night if he's heard from them, and he hasn't.  I'll find out from MIL if there's any news tonight.  I can't watch the news coverage anymore.  It's just too much.

Not in the way the people directly by  the hurricain are.  We got some cold weather and bit of their wind.  Lake Michigan was a bit rough.   That's about it.
