Ruth, do you know that when we were growing up, my mom had us make an Alleluia sign, and cover it with glitter and decorations and glue ribbon to it, and we put it in a shoebox and buried it in our crawl space for Lent every year. On Easter Sunday we would bring it out and put it on the table for a centerpiece. I have never heard of anyone else doing this, so reading about this made me smile. I thought maybe it was some Italian family tradition passed down through my mom's family, but now I see that others know about it as well! I'm sad to say that I have let this tradition drop with my own kids, but maybe we will try it this year, even though we don't have a crawl space. I guess we could hide it in the basement behind the water heater or something, hahaha!

Thanks, even though I'm full, I'm wanting some of this stuff....*sigh*. My mind and my eyes generate a lot of traffic for my stomach these days lol.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Ruth,

Thanks for the ideas. My kids have been singing Alleluias since Sunday -- trying to get it out of their systems, as my daughter puts it!
