Remember way back when I was looking for ideas for a church alphabet book? I thought you all might want a peek at it. You can only view the beginning, but you'll get the idea. That's my Henry being baptized on the "B" page!

Check it out: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/invited/321886/f23ae967c327c9e68f8549844dc6aad1

(Ignore the sales info. I had to offer it for sale to be able to show it to you!)

Yes Polly, you can email me through my profile. Sorry you lost your addresses! I should back mine up somewhere, just in case, LOL.

Polly, that is wonderful. Congratulations! The pictures are so nice and what a great idea. That is something he'll treasure his whole life and can pass on to his kids and their kids.

How did you find a publisher?

Thanks Monica!

As for a publisher, that site you visited to see the book published it. Basically, you download the software, create a book, and then pay to have it published. Then you can offer it for sale to others if you like. I don't know who the actual printers are, but the quality is very good. I think the cheapest books are around $15, for a paperback of up to 40 pages (if I'm remembering right). I did this in hardcover with a book jacket, and it was $26. If you want printing and photos on the actual cover (as opposed to the jacket) it is a bit more. More pages add more cost.

I really like it. I made a book for our Disney vacation, and it took about 8 hours, and cost less than buying a nice album -- and saved time over making a nice scrapbook! Then I decided to do this book for my godson.

I'm thinking of doing a cookbook, when one of my nieces or nephews gets married. I thought it would be fun to have everyone submit a recipe and picture of themselves and the dish, and then give it as a shower gift.

Other places will make books for you too. I know Creative Memories has software. I've only used blurb.com, and I really like it.

By the way, the kids thought your tradition of setting a place for baby Jesus is great! We've done it before with just a place setting, but they loved the idea of a sippy cup!
