We are not Catholic but we're interested in sending our kids to Catholic school.

Parishioners are expected to donate $X per year, and this $Xis counted as part of the tuition. However, because that $X is going to the church, it's tax deductible at the end of the year. My understanding is the families must be a member of the church that the school is tied to in order to get the parishioner rate. If you're a member, then your contributions will be tracked using the church envelopes. We get a report at the end of each month from the school. If you're not a member, then there isn't any way for the school to track your contributions, at least not for our church.

I'd check with the school and see what their policy is because it may be different for you.

Tithing is tracked for all parishoners whether your children are at the school or not here.
